When I booked online, according to the photos, the hotel seemed ok and the price reasonable. However, I wasn't expecting my stay to be as fabulous as it was once I got there. Upon arrival, the staff at reception knew who I was and were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I already felt well taken care of. Stepping into my room for the first time was a surprise. It was immaculately clean and beautifully presented. A little treat of macaroons with a personalised welcome card were also waiting for me on the table. The note was hand written addressing me by name, and they even mentioned the wedding wishing me an enjoyable time. The room had everything from cooking utensils, to an iron and ironing board. The kitchenette was very modern, clean and well equipped. I did not have the time to take advantage of any of this or the other amenities, such as gym, pool etc., but the room itself felt like I was treating myself to something special when what I was expecting was a standard hotel experience that ultimately I would not be 100% happy with, as is often the case.
