We stayed here as part of a package tour to attend the Netball Super league Grand Final at the Tennis Centre .We could not have asked for a better hotel or location . The hotel is located in the theat...We stayed here as part of a package tour to attend the Netball Super league Grand Final at the Tennis Centre .We could not have asked for a better hotel or location . The hotel is located in the theatre district of Melbourne and is close to all the major theatres but its proximity to the Tennis Centre and also MCG is what made us very happy . Was an easy 15 minute walk to the centre and also maybe 10 minutes to melbourne city centre itself. I know its not the closest to the Sports precinct but it would have to be in the top 4 or 5 for sure.
We had a room on the 9th or maybe 11th floor( Ive forgotten which !)but either way it was great ,there were 3 of us so with two double beds meant we could stay in comfort . To be honest not much of a view but thats Ok we wernt there to look out the window ! Room was a good size and had a lovely big bathroom . Room was quiet and sleeping came easy on the comfy beds . Room was great !
Breakfast was included and it was wonderful , everything and more , up there with some of the better buffet breakfasts Ive had around the world , this one was really good , food was fresh and hot , my favorite however was the craft breads ! So Good ive tried to soure them upon returning home. But there eggs and sausages and cereals and yoghurts and fruit and churo's etc etc , big brekkies mean no lunch required and money saving ! ( I dont think they would mind if you pinched an apple or bnana for lunch . Only issue with brekky was not much seating and overflow sat at litlle coffee tables , didnt worry us cause we got there early but be aware .
Indoor pool and spa was nice , spa is part of the main pool so dont expect it to be hot but the pool was great with nice little lounges along the wall for parents friends etc to relax while others are swimming .
Theres a beauty spa which we didnt use but Im sure its top notch too
And the staff , wonderful all friendly and helpful , kitchen , restaurant ,chefs , room maids , front desk , concierge all went out of there way to make our stay enjoyable !
Ive probably forgotten other examples of how this hotel performed but you should get the drift , I would definitely stay here again no matter what the purpose was , we had 3 nights , I wish we had more. Thank you
