Areas for Improvement: - A lot of the staff sometimes (especially at the rooftop) miss the mark on providing top-notch service and can be overwhelmed by the high foot traffic and do not appear to be very experienced or service oriented Overall, the property feels more like a high-rise apartment sprinkled with some staff that focusses on providing good views and rooms at a good price point, but it lacks soul and character. The novelty of the views wears off quickly since most people don't come to Bangkok to stay in their rooms. The Riverside location means you'll need to use a taxi or Grab to explore more of the area and other parts of Bangkok. The Riverside experience is different from the Sukhumvit experience, where you have many malls, shopping, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. There is a small shopping centre attached to the hotel with a 7/11 and some dining and shopping options. A couple of the dining options listed on the hotel's website are actually in this connected shopping centre. The Anantara is also connected to the hotel. In my opinion, the food options at the hotel and the shopping centre are not great, but at least there are a few options. Would I stay here again? Probably not, because: a) The Riverside location is not for me. b) If I needed to be close to the Riverside, I would try one of the larger premium hotel brandsShow More

We arrived early evening and were greeted by wonderfully helpful doormen. During our check-in, we were offered a welcoming drink and checked in by the very friendly and efficient Sugar. The suite we had was stunning - spacious, modern, and overlooking the Chao Phraya River. We also overlooked a lovely Buddhist temple. This hotel is a sister hotel to the Anantara, which sits in front of the Avani. They also share the ferries which goes from the front of the Anantara every 30 minutes to Iconsiam and Sathom. We stayed 4 nights, and 1st morning's breakfast was disappointing - choice & quality. 2nd, 3rd & 4th mornings, the quality was a lot better. We were very disappointed that a hotel in Bangkok had so few Thai dishes for breakfast. The staff were efficient during breakfast time. The view from the swimming pool was fantastic. The pool is not huge, and there is a definite lack of sunbeds and certainly very few sun parasols. We had one issue, which was efficiently resolved by Sugar. It's nice to see staff taking ownership of issues. The bedding and toiletries were lovely. In order to get the ferry, you have to go to level 1, walk across to The Anantara to the pier. The ferry ride itself was an experience, and it's free. It's a chic, modern hotel and we would definitely return if we ever return to Bangkok.Show More

The amenities were top-notch: the gym, the rooftop bar on the 26th floor, and even the dance club were all excellent. The staff were extremely humble, friendly, and always eager to help, which made the stay even more special. The breakfast buffet was really good as well. Even with my specific Jain vegan requirements (no onion, garlic, potatoes, and dairy-free), the team customized dishes for me every day. I would just recommend adding a few more vegan options in the future. Overall, it was a very pleasant and memorable stay. Highly recommended!Show More
