I have to say we booked this hotel based on the reviews - I appreciate that reviews are subjective but I was incredibly disappointed. So we went with TUI and arrived Monday afternoon - it was only a s...I have to say we booked this hotel based on the reviews - I appreciate that reviews are subjective but I was incredibly disappointed. So we went with TUI and arrived Monday afternoon - it was only a short trip. The room like most have said is basic and dated but incredibly clean - I liked the bed my husband didn't. The shower was over the bath and the bath was quite deep - luckily we are still quite agile at 60-65. The position of the shower made it a tight squeeze and I am only 5ft 2 ins - my husband used the bath - the water pressure was good and the water was hot. We went half board (normally do all inclusive so I was maybe naive) breakfast was reasonable but very continental and not much hot food on offer. Dinner was a massive disappointment - the meat was good quality but that was the only positive - food was luke warm at best with little to no seasoning. One night I had sea bass and it tasted like it was boiled in water, the following night I then had turkey in lemon sauce and carrots - that was it! I also had chicken coated in egg and pan fried served with mashed potatoes and some kind of mayonnaise. I just felt very let down - the salad bar was good but all the veg was served cold. You also had to pay for water at your table - at 2.50 Euros for 1L bottle. There was only entertainment on the Thursday night and that was an older man on his keyboard singing. I only went to the pool one day as the weather was only about 24 degrees and the pool was absolutely freezing. On the Thursday we arrived back to our room about 2.30pm and received a telephone call from reception asking if we needed the room cleaned? To be honest I was a little thrown by the question and asked if we could have the bed made - I am happy to make my own bed and felt a little cheeky asking! The reception then replied okay so you don't need anything! We just made our own bed, honestly I am not an entitled Princess but we had paid almost £1400 for 4 nights and my husband had found the housekeeper that morning to tip her (something we do on every holiday we go on). We also paid £70 for late checkout and were told that this would be 2pm - if we had known I am not sure we would have bothered. The shuttle into Sorrento was great and always on time. The view from our room was lovely but got no sun at all as we were right in the corner. Also there was no privacy at all if we sat on the balcony. We arrived at Napl...A bit late to the party with this review but just wanted to add to the wealth of positive reviews. We stayed here at the end of April; my partner having booked it for my birthday. We arrived at Naples airport on a public holiday and the journey to the hotel (bus transfer) took as long as the flight did. On arrival the luggage was taken off the bus by staff and carried up the hill for us. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and rather than go straight to the room we went straight out to the fabulous pool area and had a pizza, The staff here are exceptional - from the pool lifeguard, through the waiting an bar staff to the reception staff. We were half board - the evening meal is exceptional - choices of starters, mains and desserts. The wine list is extensive and if you have a bottle a don’t finish it the they will (if you don’t want to take it away and drink it in the bar or your room) save it for you. You have an allocated table for the evening meal but can sit anywhere for breakfast. Breakfast is buffet style and extensive. Bar prices and pool snacks are very reasonably priced. They put everything on the room and you settle the bill at the end of the stay. The hotel is a couple of miles outside of the centre of torrents (which is beautiful) but there is a free shuttle bus to and from the centre that is ALWAYS on time and runs every hour from about 10am ?from memory) until about 11pm. There is a lovely beach with a couple of Bars and restaurants a short walk away. Entertainment a couple of evening - very good. The rooms are spotlessly clean, cleaned daily and whilst dated they are clearly looked after with quality fittings. We genuinely couldn’t fault the place - a great place to explore the Amalfi coast a Pompeii. In that - the Amalfi coast trip that you can book through the hotel was the one we did - fantastic. We did Pompeii ourselves - shuttle bus and then the train. We did Capri through the tour operator but wouldn’t recommend that one. I wish we had gone with the one that the hotel can arrange for you - based on our Amalfi experience it will be much better value. We would 100% definitely return!Show More

Embora não seja possível ir caminhando para a cidade, o hotel oferece um serviço de Van gratuito de hora em hora. Possui estacionamento dentro da propriedade. O quarto em que nos hospedamos não era muito amplo, mas com tamanho suficiente para abrir as malas. Havia uma pequena varanda lateral com um pequeno varal que permitia pendurar roupas para secar. A varanda não tinha vista pois estava em frente a uma parede branca, mas ajudava a ventilar o ambiente. O café da manhã era servido num restaurante com uma vista belíssima para o mar e boa variedade de itens disponíveis no buffet. Possui uma bela piscina com bar. Jantamos uma noite no restaurante do hotel, nesta noite havia um jantar especial e vários hóspedes compareceram, um ambiente bem agradável com boa comida e bons vinhos com preços honestos. Sorrento é a cidade perfeita para ficar como base para visitar a Costa Amalfitana. No porto de Sorrento há serviços de barcos conectando com Positano, Amalfi, Capri e até mesmo Nápoles (além de estação de trem conectando com Nápoles, Pompéia e outras cidades da região). Além disso, o centro de Sorrento conta com vários restaurantes e muito comércio. Ir de carro à Costa Amalfitana é uma experiência belíssima com vistas de tirar o folego, porém um pouco estressante pois a estrada é muito estreita, com vários pontos onde só passa um carro além de ser dificílimo de conseguir estacionamento - em Positano é praticamente impossível estacionar. Em Amalfi e Ravello há estacionamentos públicos, mas lotam rápido. Fizemos 1 dia de carro até Ravello com parada em Amalfi. Para Positano fomos de barco (cerca de 1 hora de viagem - 22 Euros).Show More

They are great. They are friendly, eager to help and take pride in their work and hotel. This is so rare these days and was a pleasure to experience. The hotel has basic amenities but it is all you need and it works. The rooms are relatively basic but the rooms are very clean and everything works - demonstrating that the staff do their jobs well and take pride in it. The restaurant is bright and airy and has a lovely view of the coast. The food is freshly prepared and some courses were genuinely excellent. We had the half-board package so ate from the 3-course set dinner menu which had good variation to it and we didn’t feel the need to move to the a la carte. We did see others have this and it looked very good. Breakfast had broad buffet-style options. The main amenity is the swimming pool and sun terrace. This is a good size with the pool being 23m long and a very functional oblong shape rather than a random curve shape which is not very user friendly. The charm for me was that it is not heavily chlorinated which is always a pet hate of mine so this was welcome. The sun terrace is directly above the restaurant so also has lovely views of the coast. The hotel location is a few kms outside of Sorrento which we liked as the town centre is very busy and few hotels have a sea view. The key to this being functional is the shuttle bus which runs hourly and drops right into the centre of town. We found it to be utterly reliable and comfortable. Overall we would certainly recommend and would like to thank the staff for their part in a really enjoyable holiday.Show More
