That should tell you all you need to know, but I will elaborate. The location is excellent, a block from the Piazza Tasso and the Corso Italia. We walked all over and when finally ready to head home it always seemed we were only 5 minutes away. The hotel s elegant, but not in a stuffy way. There are wonderful photos of historic Sorrento in the lobby. Our room was roomy, lovely, with a comfortable bed, good heating (important in November) and nearly instant hot water. Our terrace with its table and chairs looked down on the ancient ravine to the old mill. The staff were all attentive, helpful, accommodating, and friendly. They whisked us in when we arrived and soon had us ensconced in our room. We loved coming into breakfast where Rocco, Antonio, Rita, and others made us feel comfortable and a bit pampered. A second cappucino? Coming right up! There’s a nice bar in the lobby and we made a habit of getting ourselves a decaf cappucino and an Amaretto di Sarono as a way of settling in back “home.” Special mention for the parking. 25 euros a night, but worth it. Cheaper than the public parking across the street and way more convenient. I could call the front desk and they would have our car waiting out front ready to go. This is a wonderful base for exploring Sorrento and the surrounding area.Show More

The location is good for lots of restaurants, all types of shops, and many sites of interest, whatever your taste. We did not have any problem with noise, even though we were facing the road. The rooms are lovely, extremely well furnished and the attention to detail is superb. We could not fault the cleanliness; the maid service was extremely good. The service generally is impeccable. The staff are friendly, helpful, efficient, and obviously conscientious. Although it is not at the cheap end of the market, it is certainly good value for money. The breakfasts are delicious, with many choices. The staff there were again really helpful and considerate. There is an attractive garden with a pool and a well-served bar. We were unable to find any negatives except perhaps that the beds were a little firm for us, but we dealt with that. Obviously that would not be an issue for most people! We would certainly have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone.Show More

Physically the hotel is beautiful, and has character. The lobby, the stairs and the rooms are elegantly tiled, providing an immediate sense of place. Just walking up and down the stairs each day is an aesthetic experience. If able, book a room with a view. The garden, where a substantial breakfast buffet is served is lovely and peaceful. The location is perfect, adjacent to the main square, everything worth seeing and doing in town is a five to twenty minute walk. The hotel is meticulously maintained. And the staff, front front desk to restaurant/bar and housekeeping is wonderful, patient, affable and helpful. There is only improvement I would recommend and that is more comfortable lounge chairs at the pool.Show More
