We are presently staying at this hotel, unfortunately, for 6 nights. I thought I booked a nice hotel. Upon arrival the property is impressive. The front desk is not what we have come to expect sinc...We are presently staying at this hotel, unfortunately, for 6 nights. I thought I booked a nice hotel. Upon arrival the property is impressive. The front desk is not what we have come to expect since being in Italy in the Amalfi coast. Almost rude and slightly dismissive. Not expressive in a kind and willing way. Our last hotel, the Hotel Marina Riviera in Amalfi could certainly teach these people how to treat their guests. Our room - 415 - is about the size of a closet. Don't expect a face cloth or a bottle of water in your room either. And your closet/room? You don't have room to change your mind. No keurig/pod coffee maker or coffee machine for those of us who are up at 430 am each morning. Don't expect coffee until it is ready at 7 am. Unlike our fantastic hotel in Amalfi who would accommodate us on early hikes - this hotel has an attitude I can't politely say. We have two separate reso's here as I was unable to secure a better room online for the entire 6 days when I booked a few months ago. When we checked in we asked about upgrading which we would gladly pay for so we could remain in one room for our stay, but were summarily dismissed by the front desk as they (the hotel) are "busy" meaning full. Funny, it does not seem like there is a full house here but I hope to be corrected. Don't waste your money here. We paid 1800 Euros for 3 nights in the closet and 2244 Euros for 3 nights in a room I hope is somewhat larger than our closet. Pick a different place for comfort and service.Show More

We were upgraded gorgeous Executive suite room 411 with a large terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples and view of Mount Vesuvius. What a great surprise. The bed was very comfortable and roomy albeit the mattress was two smaller mattresses together which is a common occurrence in Europe. My husband and I are older so to have a comfortable bed and pillows is very important. We loved the breakfast which was very varied and extremely generous. Starting the day with a lovely breakfast and cappuccino and impeccable service was so appreciated. The service at the hotel was stellar including front desk and all the servers at the restaurant. We also found the location very accessible to both ferry travel and train ans SITA bus station. Just be aware that there is an elevator from the ferry port to city level when you arrive or depart by boat. Thank you for the lovely stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was so hard to say goodbye to Sorrento!Show More

It’s a historic and exceptionally beautiful old Italian hotel right by the sea. As soon as you enter you are welcomed by luxurious furniture / reception area hall and gardens. I had breakfast every day with a view of Vesuvius and the sea - what a way to start the day. The staff at reception, the breakfast room and the bar were extremely friendly too, and remembered my coffee order and preferences and made me feel very welcome. I hope to come back for leisure soon :)Show More
