The on-site restaurant was excellent and the $12 breakfast vouchers were well worth it. Wonderful stay and great value. Rooms - Renovated, modern rooms. Comfortable beds and linens. No carpets. Lots of easily located plugs to charge devices. TV with cable and Chromecast. Microwave, mini-fridge, Keurig coffee machine, safe, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, pump bottle toiletries, and an alarm clock. A solid luggage holder and a traditional fold-out one. Nearby Activities - Shopper’s Drug Mart (24/7) and TD Bank across the street. Number of other nearby stores and restaurants. Wellington St has plenty of restaurants as well. Safety - The main entrance is open without card access, locked after 8:30pm. All other doors are card-access. Security cameras. Seems like a safe neighbourhood Walkability/Transit - I didn't travel with a car, so I used public transit. There are nearby stores and restaurants. Could walk to The Ottawa Hospital (20min). Bus 80 stops by the hotel and goes to Line 1 Tunney’s Pasture Station (every 15-30mins weekdays, every 30- 60 mins weekends). Bus 85 also stops outside the hotel and runs cross-city east/west and connects to Line 2 Dow’s Lake, providing an airport connection (via Line 2 and 4) in about 50 mins. Food and Drinks - Complimentary coffee machine (6-10am) in lobby with fresh brewed coffee, espresso, latte, and hot water for tea. The on-site restaurant is excellent for both breakfast and lunch. Hotel guests have the option to purchase breakfast vouchers for $12, which is well worth it. The voucher included a beverage (coffee, tea, juice, or milk) and a choice of breakfast special, omelette, healthy start, pancakes, or continental breakfast. The regular menu also had great choices and reasonable prices.Show More

Room size was huge, King bed, sitting area, lots of room to move around. Had no issues with parking in lot. Didn’t use hotel restaurant for breakfast, just took our own supplies as room has fridge and microwave. Enough dining short drive away (Little Italy was great!) if you don’t want to drive downtown. Close enough to attractions we wanted to see like Diefenbunker, Hog’s Back Falls, and about 15 min drive into downtown for those attractions. Good location, and much more inexpensive than staying downtown. Pleasant experience with all employees!Show More
