Through expedia we reserved the family room and requested a ground floor to accommodate a person with a wheelchair. We reserved 2 nights but during check-in the rude lady at the front desk said she couldn't give us the second night because they were completely sold out. She gave us a room on second floor with no elevator in the hotel it would have been impossible for my daughter to access. I told her we booked the premium family room on ground floor courtyard and paid their premium price for that room but she said we didn't. She proceeded to start cancelling our room, but changed her mind and said she had another room on the ground floor a deluxe queen, we took the room out of desperation. When we got to the room it was disgusting, the worst hotel I ever stayed in, it wasn't retro and quaint, it felt like a horror movie, it was old, dirty and stinky it smelled like someone chain smoked in the room and did i mention it felt so disgustingly dirty. We stayed the night out of desperation and we so grateful we didn't actually get the second night. We checked into the Balcomo by Ramanda for our second night in Penticton and were so relived for have a clean room. We paid $350 to stay at Bowmont for the worst experience ever, never paying that much again to be treated so rudely for a gross hotel experience. Save your money stay literally anywhere else.Show More

Air conditioning was effective. The pool was refreshing, though we were disappointed that the outdoor hot tub was closed. It appeared that while there are barbecues for guest use, two of three were broken. Note that reception closes at 6pm and you get a code for accessing your room via email. It was a short walk to restaurants and a great coffee shop. While not perfectly maintained, we would stay again.Show More
