I don’t normally write messages like this, but I felt really let down by our recent stay at your Penticton location and wanted to bring some things to your attention. While the room had potential, it...I don’t normally write messages like this, but I felt really let down by our recent stay at your Penticton location and wanted to bring some things to your attention. While the room had potential, it felt unfinished and frankly, a little neglected - especially considering the $280 per night rate. From the moment we arrived, it seemed like the room was still under construction or not properly inspected before our stay. At the front door, the laminate floor from the outside walkway wasn’t cut or secured properly - a clear tripping hazard. Inside, a coiled ethernet cable was lying right by the entry - again, another safety concern. The inside front door handle had drywall dust on it. The electrical panel was exposed and an eyes sore. The walls were chipped and scuffed in multiple areas, which was surprising if this room is supposed to be newly renovated. Several electrical outlets weren’t securely fastened, which doesn’t feel safe. The bathtub still had the plastic protective film on it, as if the space wasn’t fully prepared for guests. On top of that, the air conditioner had black marks around the plug that looked like a past short circuit - very concerning. On the service side, we had issues with key cards on check-in and again the following day. The place was under construction. Nails, screws, and other construction debris all over the parking lot. The craftsmanship in the room was below par. Drywall dust everywhere. Drywall dust everywhere. Drywall mud not sanded in corners. Paint on cabinets not cleaned up. Cabinets not flush against the wall. Sheets on bed were very wrinkled. I did notice housekeeper pulling sheets/pillow cases from a laundry bin and taking them into a room they were cleaning, nothing was folded just in a heap in the bin. It rained while I was there and the stairs not constructed properly filled up with water and became very slippery and dangerous. Construction workers both days I was there smoking outside rooms. Booked the rooms for 2 nights for crew, paid for rooms and were told they could only have 1 night (again paid for 2....), they were able to stay the 2nd night after some discussion. Next they were told there was renos going on so they would have to run the hot water for 10+ minutes to get it hot, no amount of running gave up hot water in either room. So there was no showers to be had in the rooms and unfortunately we were unable to move as there was limited accommodations in the area at the time. I don't like to leave bad reviews but unfortunately this was just a bad experience all around. Show More

Room was very clean, new, beds were comfy, ac was blowing icy cold for me, and the bathtub was deeper than any standard hotel I have been to (and that’s lots!). Sure it’s not right on the beach but it was in a quiet area tucked away from the hustle of the main tourist area, but close to amenities. It was priced at about 1/2 the price of hotels in the area, I have zero complaints. There are some mixed reviews but I think that some people have unrealistic expectations of a budget friendly hotel. It was perfect for us. I will stay again. Show More
