I couldn't make coffee in the morning, beca...It was quiet and didn't smell bad, which is a big plus these days. For the price, there should have been some more amenities. There really were very few. I couldn't make coffee in the morning, because there were no cups provided. The beds were comfortable, firm, and clean, thankfully. However, I was congested and wanted to sit upright to watch TV. There was no chair to sit in. Using a bed as a chair is subpar, to say the least. There was no iron. The steamer provided was OK, but they are not easy to use like an iron. My biggest complaint was the extremely dim lighting. The corner lamp wasn't even plugged in when I entered the room. It provided very little light anyway. The 2 badly tarnished/oxidized brass stick lamps by the beds looked like they were from the 80s or 90s and provided almost no light. There were strange fluorescent lights behind the headboards, but they were dim and started flickering if you left them on too long. I have never seen lighting this bad in a hotel before. The shower was good. Thankfully, somebody had the common sense to add a handheld shower head, because the rain style shower heads like this bathroom had are useless on their own. There was a refrigerated compartment and safe in a piece of furniture that looked to be in good working order. The hotel bar is also a limited restaurant. The staff was nice, but the food was disappointing. Don't try to rent a movie on the TV. Even old movies are $25. I don't understand all the 5-star reviews. I was counting the minutes until I could leave.Show More

The gym was one of the best I’ve seen at a hotel — spacious, modern, and spotless — perfect for keeping my routine while traveling. The Good2Go market was convenient for grabbing quality food and coffee before heading out. I also appreciated how close the property is to The Allen Parkway, Discovery Green, and great local restaurants — ideal for business or leisure. A big thank-you to the entire C. Baldwin team for their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. The combination of style, comfort, and genuine hospitality makes this one of the best stays I’ve had in Houston.
