No very n...The Whitehall is probably one of the best value hotels i have stayed in. I was in town for a couple of days for a convention. The location was good, a quiet neighborhood near transportation. No very near restaurants though and the nearest grocery was around 10-15 minutes walk. Main attractions were approximately 10-20 Uber rides away. The rooms and facilities could use some upgrades but all basic amenities were present and working. The things that I think they can improve on is the elevator: it was too slow, we often have to wait a few minutes to get a ride, an upgrade would be good at this point. The safe in my room was not working, too. But that was just a minor hiccup. However, the furniture were tasteful, big modern LCD TV, and the bed was my favorite! It was one of the best hotel beds I tried. Lastly, the staff were one of the kindest and helpful people I have met in Houston. Despite the late check in, the front desk was accomodating and not grumpy. Check out was also a breeze. I would recommend travelers going to Houston to stay at this hotel If you are looking for 5-star service without breaking the bank.Show More

A nice outside bar with plenty of tables to sit at the bar or all over outside, I do wish it was open a little bit later into the evening as I think it was normally closed around 10 or at latest 11pm. I think some night owls would have loved another hour to sit outside and drink with friends/coworkers. The value was great for the amenities that were included even thought I did not get to use the pool the area was very nice and well kept. I stopped in the workout room to check it out as I did not have time for a workout, but if you needed to get in a basic work out or some cardio they had plenty to use to accomplish your traveling work out goals for the day. I though in the room our bathroom was a little dusty and the lighting could be brighter, but the shower was hot and they had soap, shampoo and conditioner as well as lotion already there in the room to use. They were in the process of decorating for the Christmas and other holidays and it looked beautiful from what they had completed so far.Show More

I stayed there for 3 nights. There were just too many things not okay. I entered the room, and noted that it did not have a fridge. In Houston with year round warm temperatures, this is sub par. At 2 occasions, the hot warm was not hot, and when I reported it, the front desk was not interested, did not offer to check it out, and just said I had to run it longer for it to become hot (which, of course I had already done). I went into the pool, halfway, which was ice-and-ice cold and then pulled out. The last nigh one of the blinds did not want to fully close. The toilet decided every now and then to fill up the water, which was loud. The lower part of the door and the trims in the bathroom looked bad, and would need some work. The shower had mold. Besides this they had put me in a room so close to the elevator that it bothered me. When I checked out and mentioned these things, the front desk person seemed not to care about this at all, did not take notes. Disappointing.Show More

Whenever we first walked into our room there was a massive puddle at the entryway underneath the air-conditioning vent from the vent pouring water. The floor was warped, so obviously this is an issue that the specific room has they had housekeeping come fix it. She essentially vacuumed up the water mopped it up then around 1:30 in the morning it started leaking again and leaked until we left at 10 AM. I got no sleep whatsoever and it was extremely loud not to mention we had to essentially have the air off so it wouldn’t leak as heavy and the room was warm. I did let them know and they copped my parking, however I was still disappointed in my stay. My daughter and I had been looking forward to this, and I definitely was let down.Show More
