Don’t hesitate but book this hotel if you want an excellent Ubud experience. Of course the prices in the restaurant of this 5-star hotel are higher than outside, but it is so convenient. A main cours is around 6-7 euro’s. The breakfast is amazing! Indonesian food and international bread and fruits. The coffee is excellent, thank you all for bringing us cappuccino's every morning. The room is clean; fresh and crispy sheets, soft towels and supplies. Thanks to teh hard working boys for cleaning up every day. At the nice garden pool we had lovely days thanks to Tu Novi! She is so nice and brought us bad-towels everyday. This is the perfect base to discover Ubud. We got the free shuttle bus now and then (every 2 hours). But we walked as well to town: it’s about 30 minutes walk. Supermarkets nearby; they sell everything. For good food go to the center of Ubud. Reception calls nice taxi drivers, cost you around 3-4 euro for a center drop off. Do not forget to visit Tirta Empul Temple. Taxi will bring you up and down (wait for you) for around 25 euro. We felt very safe, loved and welcome in this hotel. We hope to come back one day. Unfortunately it is a 17 hour flight…. But see you soon!Show More

Check in was...We stayed at the Element Bali Ubud on a Bed and breakfast basis (2nd week of a 2 resort Holiday). We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. very clean and well organised. Check in was quick and easy and our luggage was taken to our rooms for us. The room was on the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. The room was a good size with a nice bathroom, I could have spent hours in the hot powerful shower. The restaurant was very good with a large selection of traditional Bali food for breakfast that is a must to try. Evening meals were reasonably priced and could be taken in the restaurant, the roof top bar, or via room service. we did all 3. The grounds are beautifully maintained and worth a stroll around to see the carp pool and the religious shrines. There is also a glass floor observation deck on the top floor overlooking the jungle. There is a small Gym with treadmills and free weights if you need to burn some calories. The staff around the pool are very attentive, friendly and helpful. The hotel is out of the main town, and for us a bit to far to walk. There is a free "minibus" that takes you down into Ubud centre and monkey forest and collects you at a prearranged time, well worth using. The hotel arranged for one of the staff to take us on a sunset walk through the Padi fields, again well worth doing. Quite often there were only a few guests around the pool and in the roof top bar which was a shame as its a beautiful setting, could have been the time of year or everyone had gone to the town centre? Due to Bali Belly we didn't want to venture far from the hotel so missed a lot of our planned sight seeing trips, but the tranquillity of the hotel, food and drink made up for it. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambience, and comfort offered due to hotel location and fantastic staff with special thanks to Cynthia at the reception. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, they have changed/upgraded our rooms to our satisfaction. The breakfast experience was fantastic. You can order full English at the counter, and while the variety of food was not overly extensive, there was still enough to cater to all guests' preferences. In particular, we loved the swimming pool especially swimming while pouring with rain- great experience with the jungle like surroundings. Just be careful with the midges and insects- full anti-insect spray is a must. . Bit far from town centre, takes 30 minutes walk- but you can use hotel shuttle- or a taxi max 2 pounds one way. Recommend the fire dance at Ubud temple, Monkey forest, water falls, and rice fields experience. Overall, it was a great holiday for my family and me. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We look forward to staying there again sometime next year.Show More

The food is still generally good, but we felt the quality has slight...This was our third stay at Element Ubud, for a total of 16 nights in just over two years, which allowed us to notice some changes. The food is still generally good, but we felt the quality has slightly declined compared to our previous visits. Our room was clean and consistent with the brand’s standards. However, we noticed some mold on the bathroom ceiling and grout. Aside from this, the rest of the room was well maintained. One drawback was the constant crowing of a rooster, which at times felt like being in a barnyard. As a Titanium member, I did not receive a room upgrade during this stay. On the positive side, we really appreciated the convenient shuttle to central Ubud, running regularly throughout the day, and our experience at the spa was excellent. The massage was of great quality and very enjoyable. The location is also nice, with many local artisans in the surrounding area. There is also a laundry service just across the street from the hotel, very practical and inexpensive. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but with a few improvements, the experience could return to the high level of quality we truly enjoyed during our previous visits. 4/5 reflects that the stay was pleasant, with several positive aspects (friendly and attentive staff, shuttle service, spa, location, overall cleanliness), but also a few areas for improvement (slight decline in food quality, rooster noise, mold in the shower, no Titanium upgrade).Show More
