This place was probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. One, the staff were rude and very unhelpful. They complained about how we asked for towels late at night (9pm), when housekeeping literally...This place was probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. One, the staff were rude and very unhelpful. They complained about how we asked for towels late at night (9pm), when housekeeping literally said *very rudely “You can’t ask us for that stuff ask front desk” Housekeeping came didn’t do the beds, didn’t take or replace the dirty towels. How did we know they came in the room in the first place? Well, probably because of their cleaning supplies that they left in the shower. Mind this, the room wasn’t even attempted to be cleaned until our 4 night there. Yes, we put the sign on the door “come on in”. Yeah, come on in and eat our snacks — oh did I not mention the box of cheezits incident? Yeah it was left closed on the unmade bed except we returned to unmade bed with an open cheezits box on the side table— on top of that leave your supplies in the shower. Now two, to the cleanliness side! I’ve got three words for you: dirty, stinky, and gross. Wait no 5 words if you add BED BUGS. Yes! The A/C works great in the lobby!! Wooohooo yeah in the room? No, that’s a luxury for the rude front desk workers who hate guests that ask for basic things! Anyways, the eye catching amenity the rooftop pool…. Yeah we pushed through the terrible week without visiting the pool once. It’s a two hour limit per day per guest? And it closes at 7pm. Which means if you’re visiting LA you’re not going to the pool. Anyways to say at least one good thing about the hotel. ( )Show More

Fortunately they are able to switch me to another room with bottom bunk (thanks god and kudo to the staff!). Location-wise this is a good spot, couple of minutes walk from the metro, you have wholefood just down the street and plenty of food around the hotel. it's in a renovated old building and it's really retro and nicely deco. love it! I stayed for the night to attend concert at Crypto Arena, it's about 15-20mins totally walkable and it's not scary to walk alone at 11ish pm. people mentioned the noise on the street but i found that ok (stayed in 5th flr) only a little minus is they do not have shower gel (they have hand soap and a really fluffy thick towel) so make sure you bring your own.Show More

As a business traveler it's nice to go back to the same hotel again and again. It saves precious time knowing what will be in the room & proximity to parking late night food etc. Little by little they've been deleting amenities, 1st slippers, then you had to ask for robes & lotion, now they don't give them at all despite the fact that they still list robes on their site & this site. Now they don't even give a note pad & pencil to leave a note w/ your tip for housekeeping . I asked for a printed receipt yesterday and they said that because it was paid through Hotels.com they couldn't give one. On the other hand , the staff ( except one time ) are always really lovely.Show More

First time in LA for KPop Concert. Staying at Freehand made it even more enjoyable and relaxing! Shared a 4 bed Female Quad with great roommates :) Housekeeping was daily and on schedule. Shared a 4 bed Female Quad with great roommates :) Housekeeping was daily and on schedule. CVS, Whole Foods and Dunkin Donuts were within walking distance. I felt very Safe. I checked in closed to 12 AM, after a Delayed flight. The Front Desk was still open and Check In was very smooth, with extra Towels. I did bring my own wash cloths because it was not provided, but it does not change my experience 😊 I will definitely come back real soon! 👍Show More
