As a frequent traveler to New Orleans, I have typically stayed at Marriott properties but chose IHG this time due to favorable rates. Unfortunately, this decision resulted in an unacceptable and traumatic experience. Upon arriving for late-night check-in — which I had confirmed in advance — I was met with unprofessional and discriminatory behavior by a front desk staff member, whose name I believe is Jaime. When I encountered an issue using a new card, I was treated with visible disdain. When I inquired about using split payment, Jaime laughed and muttered an appallingly racist and derogatory comment under his breath. Though he may have assumed I didn’t hear, I did. As a single mother traveling with two children, I was deeply shaken by this experience. Still, due to the late hour and exhaustion, I continued with the check-in using another card. Later that evening, when I returned to the front desk to address the earlier behavior, Jaime made an inappropriate physical advance toward me as I was walking away — an act I consider not only disgusting but potentially criminal. I will be filing a police report regarding this incident. This experience was traumatizing and completely unacceptable. I am requesting immediate attention from hotel management and IHG corporate. No guest should ever be subjected to this kind of abuse and misconduct. I will not be returning to this property or any other IHG locations and expect a thorough investigation, a formal response, and appropriate action taken regarding this staff member.Show More

The bell/front door staff is friendly and helpful. CONS: Room temp was VERY uncomfortable! Set at 66 and would not budge. Did not work with app as promised, though TV did. We called for help night 1 and "Jamie" just said no, no one could help. Tried again the second day and maintenance man showed up with a ladder; seemed he was aware this would be a bigger issue than misunderstanding the thermostat. He fiddled for a few minutes and we hit 70 for a few house, then it dropped to 66 again and stayed there. Seems like a ridiculous problem not to get solved. This detracted from our entire stay and will affect our decision about where to stay next time. Front desk staff was generally unhelpful.Show More

I wouldn’t stay here again. During our three-night stay, the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable for a family with children. Several guests dressed in ways that made the environment feel inappropriate and unwelcoming. The area around the hotel also felt unsafe at times due to the visible homelessness crisis in New Orleans. We encountered individuals who appeared mentally unstable and were yelling in the street, which frightened my kids. If you’re traveling with family, I’d strongly recommend choosing a different property.Show More

We had to call for more towels since only an exact number are left, yet they don’t service the room daily. Makes no sense, especially in a city like Nola. You need at least 1 if not 2 showers a day when walking around and staying here. We stay at Hilton hotels in cities since we are HH members but won’t be back to this one. There are plenty of other Hilton hotels that offer a better experience.Show More
