The stretch by the se...Admiral in Sorrento is an absolutely beautiful, special spot tucked away in an authentic marina area with a genuine local Italian vibe that you’d miss if you stayed more central. The stretch by the sea is buzzing with restaurants offering seafood and Italian cuisine for all budgets. Even walking past the place you get a wonderful vibe.
The hotel is a solid Italian 4-star property that represents excellent value for money without compromising on quality. The room was perfect—newly renovated, with a great, powerful shower and a balcony with a side sea view. The marine-themed design feels tasteful. All very clean, and the room service is great. There is a safe in the room.
Breakfast was good, and I recommend ordering the freshly prepared eggs from the egg station. Coffee was excellent, and the breakfast room offers fabulous views. The lobby is a wow factor from early morning until sunset, regardless of the weather. We’re sitting there now, enjoying Bocelli being played for the guests on a rainy day, courtesy of a very attentive manager. It feels like pure luxury and a chill day all in one.
The town is a pleasant 20-minute walk away, passing through other nice quarters of the town, luxury villas, and handsome hotels. It’s a very safe and pleasant stroll.
The only potential red flag is accessibility. It would not be suitable for those with strollers or mobility issues. As a very demanding and experienced traveler who has stayed in high-end hotels and resorts around the world, I can say this hotel is a real gem if you’re looking for a good base to experience Sorrento as an active traveler.
The staff here are the most attentive I’ve encountered. They answer all questions about getting out and about, even ringing the port to check ferry schedules when the weather was unsettled, and offering practical recommendations for getting around in Naples. Truly 5-star service.
Overall: A standout choice in Sorrento for active travelers who want style, value, and exceptional service. Highly recommended.
