Kevin didn’t just offer recommendations he curated a couple of experiences w...From the moment we arrived , Kevin transformed our first mother-daughter getaway into an absolutely exceptional experience! Kevin didn’t just offer recommendations he curated a couple of experiences we would have never heard about or done on our own! A private boat tour to one of the oldest lighthouses in the country!! A captain whose heritage is embedded in the waters we were riding on!! He shared personal stories of the history of his family and the area. We saw dolphins, oyster and clam beds, and were able to collect beautiful shells on the island surrounding the lighthouse. On the second night, Kevin took his hospitality and knowledge a step further, by taking us on a night walking tour through the most prestigious streets and alleys of Charleston. He pointed out beautiful homes, gardens, and fountains while talking about the history and charm of what makes Charleston so unique! During the tour Kevin also acted as our personal photographer by knowing exactly when to stop. Where to stand, what angle and lighting to use to capture the perfect photo opportunity. These pictures will provide us such special and lasting memories of our first mother-daughter trip! What stood out most was Kevin’s warmth and enthusiasm! He matched our energy with every interaction, and left us feeling looked after and appreciated. Concierge’s often are overlooked and not fully utilized, it’s rare to find someone who takes such pride in their role and makes such a meaningful impact on a trip. Because of Kevin, our mother-daughter trip was not only enjoyable , it was memorable in a way we’ll talk about for years!! This trip definitely set the bar for future trips! We can’t recommend Kevin and his services with Hotel Bennett highly enough! We booked through Amex FHR, and the perks were definitely worth it. We ate at Gabrielle’s for both breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious. The only hiccup was a minibar mix-up, they accidentally charged us for items from a previous guest (about $250). Once we brought it up, management fixed it right away. If you’re looking for a luxury stay in Charleston, this place is definitely worth considering!Show More

We were absolutely well taken care of. We would absolutely return! 10/10! The staff walked us up to our room and gave us a full tour, explaining everything. The patisserie was excellent as well! The hotel has complimentary umbrellas by the front door, which comes in handy for a pop up shower and some shade! The hotel was very conveniently located, within walking distance of almost everything. I only have a few things of note. First, our view was of the building next door. Nothing to see. (Room 541) Second, everything is expensive. Most cocktails in restaurants are about $16, but in the hotel most are $21. But they are very good cocktails with a very lovely environment to sit and relax. Third, parking is expensive! They charge more than Disney. Also, the pool is lovely, but it is small, accommodating only about 24 people unless you want to stand in the pool or pay extra for a very expensive cabana. Go early, before 11 to get a seat. We tried to go another time and every single seat was taken. Finally, the staff door on the fifth floor is loud, and the staff repeatedly let the door slam over and over and over, early and late. We celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Hotel Bennett and throughly enjoyed our stay. However the shining star at this hotel is Kevin the concierge. We had read about Kevin prior to our stay and hop...We celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Hotel Bennett and throughly enjoyed our stay. However the shining star at this hotel is Kevin the concierge. We had read about Kevin prior to our stay and hoped he would be available to plan all of our activities and dining in his beautiful city. He was not only available but full of enthusiasm to help plan our perfect itinerary. He thoughtfully asked us about our dining preferences, hobbies and what we hoped to get from our visit. He then made the magic happen! He got us in at all of the best restaurants which were spot on to our “foodie” dreams and booked us amazing tours that were exactly what we wanted. Throughly enjoyable guides as well as educational. He showed great personal interest, even getting us on an evening photography tour the night we arrived when he heard I loved photography. We will return to this hotel simply to be in the wonderful hands of Kevin again and can’t sing his praises enough Seeing him is a must. He goes the extra mile and is the best concierge we have ever used. Thank you again for making our 25th anniversary spectacular and special!Show More
