TPROS, are the location, walking was very nice and a beautiful neighborhood, the room was clean, the price was fair. I'm on the fence for service at the hotel it was okay. The woman at the front desk during the evenings was very nice and a great help (she told us about the tour shuttle that picks up at the hotel and we were so happy about that, the other girl just didn't help) and knew the area and helped with that a lot, the daytime young woman not so much, she was pleasant. The restaurant was nice, and the food was good. Our waitress and waiters were very nice and professional.
CONS, No coffee maker in the rooms just coffee tea bags and an electric kettle. Any true coffee drinker will not like this. It was difficult to get coffee in the hotel even in the restaurant. In some cases, they were out and even out of the coffee tea bags at one point. I ordered food delivery one late afternoon the girl at the front desk said they would notify me when it arrived, no notification so I go down after a while, she was talking to someone then walked off. I stand by the front door waiting on the delivery. After a while she walks back to the front desk and looks at me and says here's your delivery that had been sitting by the front desk. I don't know how long it sat there. No microwave to heat leftovers or warm up our pastries, etc... The closet door metal frame came off (glued to an old door) and when you opened the door it dragged on the ground and made a noise. Our room was down a hallway surrounded by maintenance rooms, housekeeping rooms and across we had a party girl. The hotel didn't appear to be full, no one in the elevators or downstairs so I wonder why we were given a room in that area. We stayed for 5 days.
I thought we would have a room with a balcony but that didn't happen. Anyway, it was okay. I thought there would be more pamphlets on the sites to see but there was not, however, they did have a flyer for a Lizzie Borden concert with the singer holding an axe (very strange to have that and nothing else for visiting guest.) We are in the nation's capital, GO TO Old George Town and be ready to pay for parking. Many of the street are One Ways, Small Streets, Parking is very hard to find so we had to valet with hotels.Show More
