It does show its age a bit in some places but the staff is always quick to remedy any issues. I have stayed here several times and this is by far the best consistent bang for the buck I've received in DC. It's a bit out of the way in a quiet neighborhood which is very nice as DC can be very loud with partying and sirens. No Rooftop Bar to keep you awake all night. The 5:00 wine and cheese everyday is a beautiful touch especially if you time it right for check-in. If you ask the front desk to call a Yellow Cab for you they will be there in seconds. I always suggest Yellow Cab over Uber or Lyft. Download the app use it the same way. Way cheaper and the drivers know the area much better.Show More

But we could not regulate the temperature. Even though it was below freezing outside, we slept naked on top of the blankets. Window did not open. Thermostat did not function. No controls on vent unit. Eventually we obtained some relief by covering the heat vent with a pillow. Breakfast was mainly sliced cheese and meat on toast, or dry cereal, or self-made pancakes. No fruit, no yogurt, no eggs.Show More
