I never thought I would have to write a negative review for this hotel, as I’ve always enjoyed my stays here. Unfortunately, my most recent visit from 15–19 September left me extremely disappointed. ...I never thought I would have to write a negative review for this hotel, as I’ve always enjoyed my stays here. Unfortunately, my most recent visit from 15–19 September left me extremely disappointed. When I checked in, I immediately informed the staff that only one room would be used because my manager fell ill last minute and couldn’t travel. The receptionist acknowledged it and I even asked if I could provide a medical certificate. I continued to check in with reception throughout my stay and was told management would review the situation. Despite that, the hotel marked the entire reservation as a “no-show”—even though I physically stayed there for four nights. After checking out, I received a charge of 810€, which I only noticed once I had already left Lisbon. When I called, I was told it was “a mistake” and it should have been 405€, which still makes no sense considering I advised them immediately and the hotel was not at full occupancy. Regardless when they were contacted by booking.com they said that no refund was going to be issued even though they had indicated previously that they had initiated the process. This handling is far from the fairness and transparency I expect from the Meliá brand. I hope management reaches out to resolve this, as I have always been a loyal guest and would like to continue staying here.Show More

This is a lovely hotel. The service is outstanding. Our stay included the breakfast buffet. Our stay included the breakfast buffet. It offers a wide variety of options including hot dishes, a beautiful selection of baked goods, fresh fruit and even mimosas! We visited the indoor pool - it's very serene. One end of the pool has whirlpool jets and built-in lounge seats. Quite lovely. There's also a sauna and turkish spa/steam room. the locker/shower area is clean and well appointed. Our room was well appointed with a separate shower and tub. The tub was deep enough for a relaxing bath. Highly recommend this hotel. One suggestion - there is an airport shuttle, but be forewarned, it's shared with other hotels and it's not a large shuttle - maybe 8 seats. We took a cab instead. The person at the desk said it would cost 15 to 20 euros, but it was only 10 euros and well worth the convenience.Show More
