We are seniors who have stayed at this property years ago. Actually was comped New Years Eve with deluxe dinner and Jackie Mason as guest performer. So coming back was going to be an experience and well it was a terrible one. Arriving at the hotel, there was no valet service. Front doors were blocked and had to use exit doors. No luggage trolly available and really no help from the one person at the front desk. After checking in we carried our luggage to our room and then went back to move our car to the parking garage. They use a scan and pay system where I tried several times without success. Also the system asks for too much personal information which I do not usually give to unsecured payment systems. After discussing with finally a person who was ready to help comped us for the 3 day parking. We were told hat there will no Housekeeping for the 3 days we would be staying here. We should have left at this point but payment was in advance and late evening and tired from a 7 hour drive. The room was very bare, almost like a dorm room. Wife wanted to take shower but no hair dryer available. Tried to set the heat but would warm for a few minutes then shut off. Room was mostly at 65-68 during our entire stay. We went down the next day for some towels and tissues but were only able to get some tattered towels but no tissues available. Wanted to get something to eat and were told that we would have to go next door to o The Hard Rock Casino as Showboat had no open restaurants during our entire stay. We were so happy to check out of this property. I believe that Showboat should should return our entire hotel stay.

2/10 Worst hotel experience
I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The parking garage was terrible — it smelled strongly of urine and had dog waste on the floors. The entire building is in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint, and the overall appearance feels poorly maintained.
The staff’s attire was unprofessional, making the environment feel more casual than appropriate for a hotel setting. Customer service was also lacking, and I was surprised to learn they don’t offer cleaning services on Tuesdays — something I find unacceptable for a hotel.
The room and hallways had a strong odor of weed, and the furniture was extremely outdated, resembling pieces from the early 1900s with visible stains. To make matters worse, there were cockroaches running around the room.
We stayed in the Ocean View High Floor King Suite with Roll-In Shower, but the room looked nothing like the photos on Expedia — the furnishings were completely different and far more outdated.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve experienced, and I would not recommend it to others. I definitely won’t be returning.

1/10 Absolutely horrible
First, let me say when I booked the room I knew I was not booking a five star resort. However, I did not think it would be anywhere near as bad as it was. When we arrived in the room, there was no soap in the bathroom, the garbage cans were all full from the previous guests. There were no wash cloths in the bathroom. There were clumps of hair in the shower, and the bottom of the shower curtain was red from soap scum, and mildew. The entire hotel was old and dirty and just gross. There is only one restaurant in the entire hotel and it took over 45 minutes to get our breakfast and the order was completely wrong. This had to be one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. We will never return.

The room it self was good our room was in a good place right next to the arcade and the waterpark we stayed for my son 16th birthday my only issue was BUGS IN OUR ROOM we was out most of the day but the next morning when we woke up it was bugs on our floor and on our clothes that was on the floor we only stayed one night so we left they next morning but we had to shake out clothes to make sure all the bugs were off our clothes I didn’t want to bring bugs home especially when I didn’t know what kind it was

3/10 Sad experience
I have been here twice before and everything was wonderful that's why I booked again...the room was not clean..even asked to be changed but was told there were no other rooms available.... the noise was to much to even sleep...neighbors were horrible...bathroom smelled like mildue shower curtain smelled bad the water didnt go down...had to remove drain cap to remove hair and beads that were in drain...bathroom didn't flush...this room wasn't to par...so sad since it's my birthday weekend😪I deserve a full refund

4/10 Not good enough
One of the worst resort to stay at. The price is high on top of resort fees and there are no amenities in the hotel. They don't even have a microwave or silverware if you want to warm up the baby food and the male receptionists are not at all helpful. The rooms look old and not updated at all. It is not worth the cost, only decent thing at Showboat is island water park. If you are visiting waterpark then stay somewhere else and just visit waterpark. Avoid staying there.

4/10 Doesn’t live up to the price
For the amount we paid, it was very disappointing. We had the queen family suite and the coffee machine, freezer, and tv remote did not work. When you turn a sink on it would shoot out dirty water and splash you and then it became clear. We also ended up seeing roaches as well. On the bright side, they gave us a $50 arcade card which was the same amount of parking which was cool. It has easy access to the boardwalk and staff was really friendly.

2/10 Save your MONEY!!!!
I disliked the fact that I paid for a suite expecting it to be nice it was the total opposite. The couch smelled like Vomit, the curtains were ragged and broken, the wet bar countertop was stained and cracked, the refrigerator smelled of meldew and mold... I would've changed my room but my husband was tired and just wanted to rest. Also there are Limited to NO FOOD OPTIONS IN THE Hotel,.Overall this experience was not a good one

4/10 Incidents after Incident happened on my stay.
The day of my stay, there were two incidents that shocked me the same night.
Blood everywhere in the hallway , some was stabbed. Police officers in the office patrolling the elevators.
Also on my way back to the hotel, a fire fighters truck outside the hotel.
I will not book in the future.
Until this day I'm still waiting for my refund. Almost 2 months now.
I do not recommend anybody staying here.

Overpaid for room, size, took too much time to get to room, 14th floor, elevator was broken, thin blanket was cold, fuse in bathroom blew from hairdryer, drain in shower was backed up, neighbors were loud and smelled like pot, ace food was gross and im not too picky about bar food, arcade was not fun for kids, go cart ride wS 40 a lap, rip off, room outdated as could be hallways were gross

9/10 Nice place to stay
The only problem was the Scancode for the parking..it sent me to a fraud site and I ended up having my debit card locked up when my bank called me. Don't use the Scancode use the text to Pay. However the jacuzzi was so needed and glorious. We had a great time at the local casinos. We didn't go to the Waterpark this visit, but we have been there, and it is wonderful too

4/10 Only good for its waterpark
Honestly we went for the waterpark which was good but very crowded. The hotel itself is very poor quality our room was dated, not clean and smelled of urine. That kind of took away from the whole experience. Probably wouldn’t go again, there are better hotels with waterparks.

Only one working elevator from the Parking garage was working. Waited over 20 minutes for the one that was working, so I had to use the steps. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. I could hear all the other rooms toilet flushing all night.
