All the staff I interacted with were helpful and friendly. This is an interesting hotel with quirky layout and dated decor. She's seen better days, for sure, but don't be put off by the lobby!
I'd not been to this part of Singaore before and found it to be ideal. It's quiet, low key, close to Changi beach and park, and the Hawker's market. (Plenty of choices for eating, though veggie and vegan options are limited from my brief exploration.) I didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the dining options.
My room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Loved having a balcony to watch a thunder storm and smell the rain, especially after a long haul flight. There are TWO pools! Both clean. The roof top pool and deck was my fave. The sea breeze was lovely and was a contrast from the mugginess and humidity that I've experienced in the central city and Sentosa.
As a solo female traveller, I felt safe walking around this area. I would definitely stay again.
If you want the Flyer, Zoo, Gardens by the Bay, etc., then this hotel is probably not for you. If you want peace, quiet and a free shuttle to and from Changi airport, then I highly recommend Changi Village Hotel.Show More
