I shared with her that I was disappointed and surprised that the hotel was so outdated and rundown. She explained that the hotel was starting renovations and to be sure to ask for a renovated room on my next stay. She also explained that the hotel was not owned by Hilton and proposed that maybe that was why it was not as "standard" to my expectations of a Hilton stay. I called the hotel ahead of time and asked for a low floor and that was granted at check-in. The check-in process was expedient. Good channel lineup on the tv. The bed was comfortable.Show More

We made a reservation in August to stay in October, and when we arrived we were told that our reservation was cancelled las...I would advise anyone to avoid booking at this place by all means necessary. We made a reservation in August to stay in October, and when we arrived we were told that our reservation was cancelled last month. However, they did not email us to inform us, and the money was not refunded. After calling the bank, who then was in communication with the hotel, confirmed that DoubleTree did cancel on us without informing the bank and did not return the money. We also could not re-book another room at the same hotel because they were fully booked that night. After a long and frustrating process, the bank managed to get us our refund from the hotel and we stayed somewhere else. Normally I would think that this was just an oversight and someone just made a mistake, however throughout our time waiting on the phone we saw at least FIVE other people who were facing the same issue as us. It almost seems that there was some premeditated action from someone at DoubleTree to take advantage of guests by intentionally overbooking and not refunding the money. I would be very cautious of this place and strongly suggest finding somewhere else to stay. The only good part of the entire experience was Cristine who worked at the front desk. She was very accommodating and sympathetic to our situation.Show More

Firs...The stay at the hotel so far has been good. They accommodated my early check-in and the room was clean and the cookies were warm. However, I tried to have dinner at the sports bar in the hotel. First off, they were out of the flatbread that I wanted so I ordered the tavern burger instead. The waiter asked me how I’d like it cooked and I said I’d like it medium. When I got the burger, the fries were cold and stale, but I didn’t wanna complain until I get into the burger and noticed that it was cooked more of a rare to medium rare. So I returned the burger to the waiter. He returned it to the kitchen and a few moments later, came back to me and said that the kitchen would not make me a new burger, but wanted to take the burger patty off of the bun and re-cook the burger that I had already taken several bites out of and put it back on the grill that other peoples food would be made on. The waiter seemed flustered that he did not agree with the kitchen cooking the same burger longer. He tried to get them to cook a new burger and the kitchen ref refused. So I went upstairs without eating the rest of my dinner and I feel really bad for the waiter, who was friendly and top notch and is obviously trained on proper restaurant etiquette and protocol, because he has to work with a kitchen that insists on breaking health codes.Show More
