The building itself is a living story, thoughtfully preserved and lovingly restored. Every detail - from the architecture to the atmosphere - speaks of another era, yet it is seamlessly balanced with modern comfort. It’s not just a hotel; it’s an experience, a rare glimpse into the soul of Old New York. And just as important, the staff embody that same spirit: gracious, knowledgeable, and genuinely proud to share the hotel’s heritage. Interesting history but we paid for the suite and there is a club right outside that played loud music until 3 am. There was only one person working at the hotel and when we got there a little early ...Interesting history but we paid for the suite and there is a club right outside that played loud music until 3 am. There was only one person working at the hotel and when we got there a little early we already had a text that the room was ready and code to enter, but were told we had to pay $75 more if we wanted to go to the room early. If the one staff member left the front desk there was nobody else around to help and no security at all. Already mentioned all of this when asked to leave a review and was told that they don't have a sound meter to document the noise of the club. There is no way that would not be obvious. Show More
