We stayed in Premium Room 14, which opens to one of the most stunning views imaginable: the rooftops of Chiado and the Castelo de São Jorge rising above the city. Day or night, the view felt like a painting — especially at sunset and when the castle lights came on after dark. The location couldn’t be better. Step outside and you’re surrounded by Chiado’s lively cafés, elegant shops, and tram stops, yet the hotel itself feels peaceful and private once you’re back inside. The room was spacious, beautifully kept, and filled with natural light during the day. The bed was plush and comfortable, and the large windows framed the city perfectly. Breakfast on the terrace was another highlight — excellent quality with fresh fruit, pastries, and great coffee — all enjoyed with that sweeping panorama across Lisbon’s red rooftops and down to the Tagus. We loved being able to take photos from both the terrace and our own balcony; every hour the view seemed to change with the light. The staff were consistently kind and attentive, from check-in to check-out, always ready to help with a smile. If you love a mix of charm, comfort, and unbeatable views, Room 14 at Hotel do Chiado is a perfect choice. We would return in a heartbeat.Show More

We were there for five days in a beautiful corner room with a spectacular view of Lisbon. Our room also included a lovely, roomy terrace where we enjoyed morning coffee and evening wine. The room was immaculate and well appointed. We had an in-room espresso machine, which was so nice first thing in the morning. The beautiful art throughout the halls was extra special. The staff was very friendly and professional and remembered who we were from our first day there. Each evening at the end of our touring days we headed to the rooftop bar to wind down with a beverage while enjoying the beautiful view. The bar staff was so accommodating and one evening, when I'd asked for a hot chocolate which they didn't have, the bartender made a special and extremely delicious cup of decadent hot chocolate from maybe chocolate bars(?). He served it in a beautiful china cup. It was such a special treat. We also enjoyed the on-site breakfast buffet every morning with so many choices. They even prepared a "takeout" breakfast for us on our last day because we had an early flight. The hotel is perfectly located with easy access to the train station and many must-see places, as well as shopping and dining. Should we plan another trip to Lisbon, Hotel do Chiado will see us again!Show More
