If your tour ...The location of this hotel was excellent. It just a 15-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella station. This is convenient if you’re taking any tours, as most tour meeting points are there. If your tour starts early, you can get there quickly without needing a taxi. You can also take a short taxi ride, which costs about €15–20. The walk to the Duomo is literally a straight walk from the hotel, making it very convenient to explore the main attractions. The staff were amazing. It was my wife’s 30th birthday, and they surprised us with a gift in our room, even though we hadn’t mentioned it — such a thoughtful touch! We stayed in a classic room, which was spacious enough for two people. The rooms, while they are perfectly okay, a refresh would be nice. For example, replacing squeaky wooden floors, updating showers with full doors instead of foldable glass panels that don’t fully contain water, and generally bringing the rooms up to a more modern standard. Our room was on the first floor, the same floor as the breakfast restaurant/bar. The buffet breakfast was good (convenient and sufficient). But if you’re not an early bird, you may hear some noise in the morning from other guests having breakfast. It wasn’t a big inconvenience, but if we had the choice, we would have taken a room on a different floor. Overall, a great hotel with a prime location, excellent staff, and thoughtful touches.Show More

As a female solo traveller it meant I did spend more time in my room in the evenings. Also my room was at the front of the hotel and noisy. However I still give it 5stars. The room was spacious, excellent bathroom. Kept spotlessly clean by house keeping. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I will be rebooking again for next year and will request a room at the back. I know this area of Florence very well and i will rebook with confidence knowing that it will meet my requirements on my next visit. Breakfast was very good, staff were very efficient and welcoming lots of smiles. I had a wonderful 4 night stay.Show More
