Not worth the price.
Horrible beach. We had to go to the beach in Sheraton instead. And over there we saw many other guests from this hotel, because the towels are the same as ours.
Rooms are old. No functioning vent in the toilets. Drains and slow. Water pressure low. Imagine washing off the salts and sands from your body in this condition.
Not many in-hotel activities like making leis are once a week or something? Never worked with our schedule anyways. We spent 5 days here though.
Parking is expensive. $40/day self park. And you have to walk a long way too.
It’s not worth $750 per day per room. If you get it for $300 ish per night, great.
The view is okay from the water front rooms but the catch is if you walk closer to the patio you see all the people at the pool which is like looking down in an apartment complex.

10/10 Great hotel, very family friendly.
We had a great stay at the Hyatt Regency in Maui. The staff were all wonderful, the location was great, the pools were great (and we did not have to deal with the early morning rush of people reserving lounge chairs - there were always a few open).
The only drawback, and it's such a nit, is that the beach in front of the hotel (specifically the amount of sandy real estate) is not that big so you're not able to sit on a chair or really lay on the beach directly in front of the hotel...but you can go either left or right and find space.
FWIW, we are already looking at availability for next year so we can come back!

4/10 Pool area no longer what it used to be
I used to love this hotel because of the cave pool and water falls. They have closed that down and covered that entire side of the pool with a tall, large white flagstone wall. Some call it unsightly and I don’t disagree. The flow and feel of the area feels off now and it’s no longer as near as nice of pool as before. We won’t be returning since that was the main reason we chose this hotel. We didn’t know about the changes until we arrived since the pics online still show the old setup. We would not have booked here if we had known it changed. The vibe seems all off with the big white wall.

7/10 Beautiful place, but constant charges
Nice resort in a nice place. Clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Good joice of sandy beaches in walking distance and pools around the resort.

Great hotel structure, with large swimming pools for adults and kids, and with easy access to a great beach.
The room was large enough to accomodate 4 people, and confortable.

10/10 Wonderful resort and pools.
All aspects of the resort was great! Only thing we missed was the swim up bar shown in photos that was removed from the resort. I looked forward to that. The hot tubs were a little difficult to find but we're nice. The concierge service was wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet everyday and glad they changed some items daily. I was also able to order an egg turned over easy from the kitchen.

6/10 Avoid Swan Cove
Do not have breakfast at Swan Cove! It's no better than what you get at a miserable 2-star business hotel where the staff do not give a damn what they serve and the quality of the food is absolutely minimum standard. Save your money and eat somewhere else. Otherwise, the hotel is good, clean and well maintained.

Pretty awful experiance - staff were bad beyond belief, rude, unhelpful, just generally not nice people. Everything is incredibly over priced, no real facilities of note. Do not stay here you will regret it.

Terrific room, very modern and nice. Room views to the mountains were amazing, even though we got room with supposedly "no view". Good location, Stuff was really nice.
The hotel grounds are very beautiful and the pools. The Luau was fun.

10/10 Perfect resort with all u can ask for in Maui.
Everything was perfect. Beyond expectation. Was worried about construction, but it was almost done and not a distraction at all. No machine noise.
The resort is beautiful with the landscape and different animals (many parrots) on display, penguin feeding, swans.
Pool for adults, kids, and pool slide was great
Breakfast at hotel was delicious with many options. The restaurant was located near a waterfall.
Highly recommend.

10/10 Great vacation & add the Genius Level 2 bonuses, it made it that much better.
The staff was fantastic which made the entire stay that much more enjoyable. The facilities were excellent (as has been the case each and every time we've stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui).

The pools were good, although there was some construction blocking out a part of the pool.
The Parking was rather easy.

The lobby, restaurants, beach and access to the vacation club were top notch. Vacation club pools were great and the beach was just gorgeous. Maybe the best sunset Ive ever seen.

It was a pleasure to stay at the Hyatt Hotel. We had a room with an ocean and mountain view and enjoyed the tranquility and sounds of the ocean tides. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was diverse and delicious, with many vegetarian options. The swimming pool is big enough, and despite reconstruction, my daughter preferred swimming in the pool, but I swam in the ocean and met a lot of turtles who like to swim in the shallow water.

9/10 We had a lovely time at the property during our short stay in Maui.
The rooms are nice and comfortable. They have a lovely pool. The beach is a 2 min walk. The Whaler's Village is a 20 min walk and has some very good restaurants and shops.

6/10 The stay was pleasant as the resort wasn’t overcrowded. The place is clean and staff are pleasant.
Breakfast was decent. It’s a good value for children, but not so much for adults. For $38 per adult it could have had more variety.

8/10 Relaxing and beautiful stay in an amazing - but still recovering - part of Maui
Everything was excellent, especially considering the recent disasters in the area. All staff from the reception to housekeeping to bartenders and waiters were extremely welcoming and great at their jobs. The gym was fantastic. Access to the beach and surrounding area was great. We booked before the fires and were worried about intruding on the locals, but decided to move forward to support the local businesses. Hopefully we were able to enjoy the area respectfully while doing so...I highly recommend to other travels to get out of the resort a bit and support the many locally owned restaurants, food trucks, tour companies, markets, etc. Lots to see and do outside of the hotel, too!

Lovely hotel with nice big rooms. I liked that we had a large bed and also a sofa. The pool is gorgeous and has lots of space. The on site Luau is spectacular and a must do.

The Hyatt Regency is a beautiful and cultural experience. The pools, beach and location to other beaches are perfect!!!
The room had a view of the gorgeous flora and partial ocean. What a spectacular view! We woke up happy and relaxed everyday!
The staff and their attentiveness to detail and courteous manner was gratefully appreciated.
I can’t forget two more things: Japengo is a must do and my son visited the penguins daily!
