We just returned from an amazing trip to Maui, four of the nights being spent at the Royal Lahaina. We booked our trip through Costco and had a $50 daily credit as well as complimentary breakfast buffet daily. Beginning with a wonderful check-in experience with Stacey (we were there about an hour before check-in time and she was able to get us in a 12th floor room with a stunning partial ocean view) until check-out, every single employee we encountered was friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to help us. The room reminded me of a classic rustic resort with lots of wood trim and an incredibly comfortable bed with great pillows. The shower/toilet room was a bit small, but that didn't bother us. The separate sink area on the other hand was roomy, so two of us had no problem using it at the same time. We spent every early morning on the balcony, soaking in the sun coming up over the mountains, and the evenings setting over the ocean. The two pools had plenty of lounge chairs. It was so nice not to have to get down to the pool super early in order to get a chair. The beach (not overly crowded)was the best part! We rented an umbrella and chairs which was our favorite...we would go in and out of the crystal clear water all day long. Because of the time of year, we were treated to daily sightings of whales frolicking nearby (not scary nearby, but they were very easy to spot). Our only feedback is that the breakfast buffet was only ok. There was a decent variety of foods, but the eggs in particular were somewhat flavorless. On the other hand, there was banana bread one morning that was the best we had while we were in Maui. We had food and cocktails at the Pineapple Moon that was great, as were the bartenders! We can't wait to return! Mahalo!

5/10 DISAPPOINTING
The valet gentlemen were wonderful. Always friendly and eager to help. The property is fairly quiet and beach is lovely. Bar area and servers were great as well.

9/10 First time- wonderful time!
This was our first time visiting Hawaii and we had a wonderful time! We only had a couple of days to spend at this wonderful resort and we are so happy we chose it! We walked along the boardwalk in the mornings and said what a good and lucky choice we had made in selecting the Royal Lahaina. We remarked on how the resort felt calm and how well it blended with the nature around it. The food was really great and we never regretted paying a little extra for each of the meals we shared. The staff was friendly and we really appreciated the live music playing both by the pool and in the beautiful grotto area. Thank you for such a great experience!

10/10 Solo Maui Experience
My solo trip to Maui was incredible. Royal Lahaina is the ideal location to relax and unwind. My room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. There is a coffee maker with pods and a refrigerator. The view of tropical trees and the beach refreshing. I loved the privacy of the beach, not many people. The hotel is close to shopping. A trolley service available to take you to Kaanapali and Whaler's Village for shopping. Lovely walking paths. Make sure to check the activities. Complimentary yoga and other fun activities. There is a fitness center and spa. All the things you will need to elevate your Maui experience.

10/10 The place to stay in Maui!
This is the place to stay if you ever go to Maui! Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows has the best staff who provide the friendliest service ever! Big shout out to Nick, Chache (Bartender), Gina, Stacy & Ares! But everyone there was just so welcoming and really felt the aloha! The food and drinks were amazing & our bungalow was beautiful! Love how convenient this resort is to many places in Lahaina. Definitely the best place to stay in Maui! They made our trip so memorable, our first time!

10/10 Another great staycation at Royal Lahaina
It’s always a treat for us to stay at The Royal Lahaina Resort. It’s a beautiful beach front resort. We visit often from neighbor island. Aloha spirit is what really counts. This time we came to celebrate my birthday. Special Thank you to Stacey and Kim at front desk for making our stay special. Always good to see your smiles . You make us feel like family when we stay here.

10/10 Best beach in Maui
The facilities were great. Pools were well maintained. Beach was clear of any kelp and was crystal clear. There were plenty of other restaurants and shopping nearby. The only issue was the location is on the far west side of the island, and you end up driving for hours every day. But if you want to stay at the resort and relax, you’ll love this place. The Myths of Maui luau was great too.

Fully enjoyed staying the Royal Lahina! It was wonderful. Lots of activities for all ages. Great music, pools, and friendly staff. Would recommend this hotel and resort to others. The nightly music was in a beautiful setting. The beach was very sandy and Lahina is on the best side of the island for the traditional trade winds. (Shhh don’t tell anyone).

Location location! Very friendly staff. Beautiful spacious rooms, nice balcony with comfortable furniture. Unique room design; wood furnishings including the blinds! Great room amenities. Good housekeeping services. Very, very comfortable bed. The pool area is quite nice. Quiet floors. The luau was wonderful! LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT ROYAL LAHAINA!

7/10 Short expensive night due to flight cancellation
Hard to assess. We arrived at midnight after a flight was cancelled and left at 5am. The room cost $500 which was the cheapest available in Maui. Valet parking was an additional $40 for the 5 Hours of night but the Weather was horrendous. Never saw the property. .

These were an incredible value. The pool is fantastic. The employees are amazing! Love the bartender at the left pool. They have everything you need. My only complaints? The bathrooms desperately need renovation. And our upgrade payment to ocean view only showed the golf course unless you stood outside on balcony

6/10 For the price, I expected a bit more cleanliness and amenities, but it wasn't awful.
Super close to the beach, not many kids, some classes included (yoga, etc.). The beach is perfect. Our friends were staying at Honua Kai just about 3 minutes down the road from Royal Lahaina, and their beach was rough and rocky. The beach at Royal Lahaina was soft sand and perfect currents/waves. The Royal Scoop was great, highly recommend. They have breakfast and lunch items, as well as coffee and ice cream. Prices are great. The Myths of Maui Luau (price not included, but was on the property) was amazing and would definitely recommend that. The food/drinks at the luau were well worth the price, and the show was stellar. The shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash and hand soap in the room smelled AMAZING. I am still trying to find them to purchase for my home! The woman working at the activities desk was super nice and helpful.

Although we faced an unexpected situation, the staff handled it with warmth, professionalism, and full support. 8/10 I loved my stay at the Royal Lahaina & being in Maui 💛
I love the location of this resort! Outdoor pool and right on the beach was so perfect. We reserved a cabana for the entire day for just $100 which was so comfortable & relaxing. I loved how friendly the staff were and the breakfast restaurant there was so good. I liked the spacious balconies from our room as well. We spent a lot of time out there watching the sunrises & sunset.

10/10 A relaxing and a great stay
There is a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere at this hotel. The hotel is right on a great beach with clear blue water. Really nice reception staff. We also enjoyed the pools and the pool bar, were we had some great drinks. On the last day the allowed us to use the facilities after checking out, witch is great.
We planned to stay 4 nights in Kihei, but we canceled the last night to return to this hotel in couple of days for our last night in Maui.
Since we are coming back, it’s obvious that we highly recommend it.
