I think this is my new go to hotel in Houston. Sure there are pricier hotels promising fancier stays but for the penny wise, pragmatic traveler that wants a good combination of location, amenities, good rooms, excellent service and a can do attitude —- this is the place. I have stayed here twice so far both for business in the med center and for meeting with family visiting from international destinations. Both times have been excellent stays. The king premium rooms with lounge access are a travelers dream. The lounge access gives you two solid meals a day for free with great buffet selections and excellent service. Want to dine more? The restaurant at the lobby is a great choice. I had a great meal. Are you getting to your room late and need food, room service is great. I usually detest room service food but their food at this hotel is delicious. Staff are super friendly and helpful and will been over backwards to make sure your stay is a great one. The only negatives if I had to name any to keep this review fair and balanced… the gym could use more equipment (most people won’t use this feature), the daily parking is a bit expensive but you are parking in a safe garage at the heart of the med center so maybe affordable is not in the cards. I highly recommend you forego several fancier hotels and try this one first.Show More

Although we were there slightly over 14 hours this time, we have been many times before. It was lovely to see Bouda & then Shola at the door. They are so helpful & joyful! Such assets to the hotel... The front desk, condition of the room, etc. were wonderful as usual. The lobby was bright and bustling - great for a drink or snack. Not sure I care for the new shuttle protocol. We waited over 30 minutes twice. If it had not been so windy, we could have walked from MD Anderson in less time. Where I marked off a star is due to the room service. While delivered promptly, the order was incorrect and the employee wanted to disagree with my husband whether the topping on the pizza was mushroom or the olive we ordered. I think most adults can recognize mushroom. We had to wait for a new pizza to be delivered. No apology; no comp. The crudite (vegs) was greatly lacking in spite of the beautiful hummus. Having room service when one arrives after a full day of travel is usually much appreciated, but this time it felt very unpleasant. That said, we'll be back. The pros far outweigh the cons. Just probably no room service next time.Show More

The reason I stayed there was because I was having a procedure at the hospital nearby and I was told they had a shuttle service that could get me to my postop appointments with ease. That’s where I had issues. The Shuttle service, not the shuttle drivers(they were fab) The front desk person at Check in which I had to wait almost 45 minutes to get my room gave me the wrong information about the shuttle service. The valet manager helped me my first day when I had problems, but didn’t know the actual address of the place I was going, which was a mile away. I know that’s not a big deal, but it was a very big deal to me as that was the primary reason I was staying there. I feel like more communication needs to be between the front desk, hotel staff, and in the valet shuttle staff.Show More

From the moment I checked in, things didn’t feel right. The room and overall service didn’t meet the standards I expected — especially based on how the hotel is advertised. There were several issues that made the stay uncomfortable. I tried to remain patient, but the lack of communication and effort to address these problems made the situation even more frustrating. When you’re paying your hard-earned money, you expect at least basic comfort, respect, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience this time. I’m hoping this feedback helps improve things for future guests, because the stay left me feeling disappointed and honestly a little taken advantage of.Show More
