We were staying at this hotel for a wedding, and came with our 1.5 year old. We specifically booked a Galleria Suite to have a separate bedroom to put the toddler to bed early then still be able to talk and have lights on in the living area. However, the "doors" to the bedroom have huge cutouts in them that are just open, with mesh curtains on them. There's also cutout side windows into the bedroom, no glass or anything. This made the bedroom completely open to light and sound to the living area. Luckily my husband is creative and got a pile of blankets and sheets from housekeeping to drape over the doors and rig with hangers to block the side cutouts, in an effort to try to sound/light proof the bedroom. It had limited success, and the toddler did not sleep as well as we wanted, and we still had to tip toe around after he went to bed. The hotel did provide a real crib with bars and a mattress with crib sheets, it wasn't just a pack'n'play like at other hotels.
You also have to request a mini fridge and microwave specifically, the rooms don't come with them. When I called before our stay, they told me it would be an additional $10 charge/day for both of these amenities. However, they ended up not charging us extra in the final bill. Be sure to request these at the front desk when you check in, since it makes life with toddlers much easier. We kept snacks and breakfast items in the fridge for early wake ups and evening toddler snacks. They also provide complimentary bottled water at the front desk, helpful if you do formula.
The pool is a nice amenity, there's 2 pools, but only 1 is heated. It does get very sunny mid-day, but until 10am, the building provides shade over the pool area.
The Birdies Cafe has a pretty big kids menu, but it wasn't advertised well so I didn't know about it until the end of our stay, from seeing it online. The mac and cheese in the regular menu was refused by my toddler (and he never turns down pasta), so the basic kids menu mac and cheese might have been better.
The rooms are a bit dated, and the couch was not very comfortable for lounging on. Pros to the room were the extensive counter space in the bathroom, and the hot water quantity and water pressure were excellent. There is a European style bidet in the bathroom of the Galleria Suite, which my toddler constantly tried to play with, so be aware of that. We had to keep the bathroom closed/blocked during our stay. Another pro was the windows, they're huge and expansive, and the window sill is the perfect height for a short toddler to play with toys and look down on the pool area to people watch.
While the room and facilities weren't ideal for traveling with children (I wouldn't recommend it unless necessary, like for a wedding), the customer service at this hotel is impeccable. Every staff member we interacted with was extremely helpful and kind. They loved seeing our toddler, and were always prompt in their service.Show More
