Located in the Principe Real neighbourhood, it has easy walking access to restaurants, shops and a nearby botanical garden (Jardim Botânico da Universidade de Lisboa). The Avenida da Liberdade and all of its shopping, restaurants and transit links is also a very short walk away, admittedly down a steep hill. Rooms are quiet, spacious, comfortable and clean. I like the complete separation of the shower from the washroom facilities. The hotel includes a rooftop terrace, the V Rooftop Bar. On mornings if access is open it provides a quiet refuge from the city. I have’t been in the evening when bar service is available. The hotel restaurant, the Blue Bistrot is very good, providing modern takes on some classic Portuguese dishes. The extensive, excellent breakfast is also served in the Blue Bistrot, in an atmosphere of calm that makes for a great start to the day. I’ve tried two other luxury hotels in Lisbon and can confidently say The Vintage is by far my choice for its high standards of comfortable, quiet luxury.Show More

Having arrived from the US, my arrival was too early to check in but my bags were collected so I could explore the hot...From the smiles from Diego and Paulo at my arrival, The Vintage Lisbon was a hit. Having arrived from the US, my arrival was too early to check in but my bags were collected so I could explore the hotel’s rooftop area and surrounding community. I choose The Vintage because of the central location near the main shopping boulevard and cultural sites. My average Uber Fare was under €9 to the Ocean Aquarium, Carriage Museum. If you wish to obtain a couple of nibbles there is an ALDI within a five minute walk. Special mention while booking “The Vintage” you should select the morning breakfast in the restaurant “Blue Bistro” that is on floor -1. My room (307) was the largest room that I have had both in the US and Europe, UK included. If traveling with friends or family the shower and toilet both featured a privacy doors. The toiletries were exceptional, including hair conditioner and body lotion. Each staff member greeted me graciously and were helpful with questions. This will my home while visiting Lisbon, hoping you give it a try.Show More

The service was excellent and when a small error had been made on our gym booking they left a note and cheese platter to say sorry. This kind of service is rare. The room comes with complimentary gin and beer on arrival, a very welcoming touch. The facilities are lovely, the rooftop terrace is small but it was great to sit out in the sunshine. They gym is small but functional and the spa area is worth a visit. Breakfast was a highlight, from the sparkling wine to the nata, we had everything you could want to fuel your day. The location was great for us, we walked everywhere but on our last day caught the tram back, more for the novelty. Be prepared for hills if you're a runner! Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so special.Show More

The location is fabulous, and the rooftop bar offers a stunning view with equally lovely staff. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to suit every taste. That said, I do have to mention the bed. The mattress felt old and extremely firm, and the wood frame squeaked with even the slightest movement. Unfortunately, it made for two rather uncomfortable nights and was quite surprising given Hilton’s usual high standards; particularly for a luxury property. I never write hotel reviews, but as a frequent traveller and loyal Hilton guest, I felt it was important to share. Everything else about the stay was wonderful, but the bed definitely put a damper on what could have been a perfect experience.Show More
