When reported to the front desk, they were polite to a...The resort location and amenities are really nice but unfortunately our room was bug infested beyond our ability to remain in the room or sleep. When reported to the front desk, they were polite to attempt to relocate us but did not have another room for us. We were forced to stay a second night before speaking to the supervisor who provided a refund for the remainder of the stay and we had to find alternative accommodations at a higher rate and not a favorable location. We requested a full refund, but the supervisor said she would not be able to provide refund for the first nights stay. Couldn't cook without having cockroaches attacking our food everywhere. At night, found bugs on the bed. We asked the front desk attendant if this was common and she said yes it is. Very disappointed by this level of customer service.Show More

We loved this property, our gardenview with kitchenette was completely remodelled, the location was walking distance to so many great activities and restaurants. The free trolley to Whalers village was so handy! Make sure to get off at black rock to snorkel with the turtles for free. We also had a great time at the arcade at the Westin Resort. The beach in front of the property just north had some of the best snorkeling of our trip, and we went to a number of the bays north of the resort. The front desk was very helpful and the pools were great! My only complaint is that the front desk had an excursions sales person that kept calling our room at 8am and was very pushy.Show More

We loved our villa #608 and had a g...We just returned to L.A. after a week at the Kaanapali Villas and had a great time! It is a beautiful resort, well maintained, friendly staff and beautiful rooms. We loved our villa #608 and had a gorgeous ocean view. The pool was great and we loved the Castaway restaurant with it's awesome food and service. Be prepared when you go to Maui that everything is extremely expensive. The grocery prices are much higher than California and the taxes as well. Also, another tip is the speed limits are lower and we actually got a speeding ticket on the hwy for going 50 in a 35 MPH zone. One other thing I wanted to mention is the concierge. She was very friendly and seemingly helpful, however we felt like her goal was to sell tours instead of just giving us good advice on places to see and do. We fell for an expensive snorkeling tour to Molokini on the Calypso that she raved about but for people our age (70) it was not ideal. We are not experienced snorkelers and hardly saw any fish and couldn't find any sea turtles where they were supposed to be. She told us we shouldn't go snorkeling on our own as it was dangerous with rip tides. So, we never tried it and regretted that decision. She also told us we couldn't stop along the road to Hana as it's illegal. That proved not to be true. We loved the road to Hana and stayed at the Hana Kai Maui unit #202 which had amazing views and had a good dinner at the Hana Ranch Restaurant. The waterfalls were pretty light as Maui is experiencing a severe drought. Be sure to visit the Black Sand beach while in Hana. Other highlights on our trip were the wonderful aquarium and the Haleakaia summit. Wouldn't recommend United airlines flight to Maui.Show More
