Check-in area is small, but I was helped quickly and kindly for both check-in and check-out. As a Diamond member, I got a nice complimentary upgrade to a Premium room with a nice view of the Riverwalk. I have stayed in a lot of Hilton hotels but never a Canopy, but I was a big fan. Everyone was very kind. Room was clean and well-stocked. Nice multi-use toiletries with sealed containers. Bed was very comfortable. Good water pressure and large shower. Complimentary bottled water available at the front desk. Restaurant on site was quite good for breakfast (not cheap, but quality food). Nice view right on the Riverwalk with outdoor and indoor seating. Great service from the host and servers. I came for a conference at the Convention Center but chose this hotel as it was about $75 cheaper per night than the conference-associated hotels. It was about a 15-min walk to the Convention Center if you walked it by the Riverwalk which is a fun walk. No concerns other than the Riverwalk can be loud (even from a higher floor where I was) but that was my own choice for a Riverwalk view room. Would definitely stay here on my next visit!Show More

(Ironically, my airport shuttle driver was friendlier.) After that, service picked up fast; everyone I interacted with was helpful, especially the bartender—great energy and recommendations. Room My corner room was huge—I could honestly play soccer in there. Thoughtful layout, everything where it should be, and it all felt new and well kept. Coming from a tiny Midtown NYC room, this was a massive upgrade. Nice touch with the personalized welcome on the TV. Location Outstanding. You’re right on the River Walk, steps from the city’s oldest bar and late-open shops. Perfect base for exploring San Antonio day and night. Bottom line A design-forward hotel with giant rooms and an unbeatable location. If the initial welcome were warmer, it would be close to perfect. I’d return without hesitation. Recommended.Show More
