Overall this is very good hotel with various pros/cons. Starting wit the pros; - New hotel - I think about 3 or 4 years old to which we travel most years. Everything well kept including housekeeping...Overall this is very good hotel with various pros/cons. Starting wit the pros; - New hotel - I think about 3 or 4 years old to which we travel most years. Everything well kept including housekeeping for room which was excellent. - Rooms - we tend to take Disney view room with terrace (which also avoids traffic noise from the busy road - Hotel Plaza Boulevard). Room is excellent with fridge, coffee machine and safe and also good bathroom and as above housekeeping excellent also well maintained. - Disney Buses - used just once this time and no problems at all. - Laundry Facilities - self service - great facility. - Swimming Pool area - excellent for relaxing and drinks at Lakeside bar. Had no problems whatsoever accessing/using the pool - some days a little busy but mainly not a problem. Staff excellent at Lakeside bar. - Bar in foyer- used maybe once or twice as mainly we tend to go out in evenings but no problems at all. - Coffee/Tea stations behind reception - used this a lot - mainly to get coffee/tea on returning to the hotel to take back to room. Note this is "free". - Location - big plus point for us is location of this hotel. Approximately 15/20 mins walk to Disney Springs where we spent a lot of time in various restaurants/shopping etc. Very relaxing and nice walk. I believe there is also a bus which calls there but we prefer walking. Also very central if you wish to travel to say Universal or Outlets - we tend now to get Uber rather than by car - though do bear in mind I4 traffic if you have a specific time booking anywhere! Cons/negative - Breakfast/dinner - to be very fair this is an excellent offer if you have young kids and maybe not here for too long. However the quality of food is not great or really varied all that much so most will probably get fed up after a few days. As above we tended to eat out at night but really don't think could have utilised the offering at the hotel. We did however avail of the "free" drinks occasionally on route out. Specifically an issue that the hotel really ought to address relates to food allergy. There is I would suggest next to no labelling whatsoever on any of the food (although this is not uncommon in Orlando - unfortunately). The hotel makes minimal attempt to cater for specific diet e.g. in my case Gluten Free - please bear in mind if this is an issue. I fully understand the cost issue for the hotel but the provision of an omelette station as an example would help. Additionally I was give GF bread but no cereal - however did not ask again as it is not possible to toast it other than using the normal use toasters which would provide cross contamination issues. They do have an area which is used as bar at night which could be separate for GF toast/food etc. The above is intended solely to assist as constructive criticism and please note we would definitely stay again notwithstanding the issues above.Show More

We had booked through British Airways as they had the best price and included free parking. Hotel was easy to find along Hotel Plaza and we pulled up to check-in, small queue which moved quickly, reception staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We were allocated a room on the 11th in Cyprus tower with a view over the car park/I4 No problem what so ever with sound, it was actually helpful to see how busy the I4 was as we had day trips planned. Room was large with a king size bed, side tables, dresser, desk table and chairs and TV, there was also a wet bar with coffee maker, microwave and drinks cooler. No complaints from the room, bed was comfortable and blackout curtains worked well. Bathroom had a shower toilet and sink, everything was spotless and clean. The pool was lovely along with hot tub and splash pad, pool towels are provided. It was nice to sit in the sun for a few hours, bar was nearby if you needed drinks or food. Free food and drink was the reason we booked this hotel, breakfast has lots of choice and plentiful constantly being topped up. Kickback was a rotating menu, we had no issues with the food or quality and some days decided not to eat out in the evening as we had plenty at kickback. Evening drinks was a pleasant bonus 3x alcoholic drinks per adult every night, - look our for Jen she is lovely very helpful and lots of knowledge of the local area. Night time entertainment there is a live singer in twice a week, nothing else. Location is good nearby to Disney with free buses to the parks, easy access to I4 to get to other areas. There are a few eateries nearby if you turn left out the hotel and left again at he end of Hotel Plaza. Our return flight was cancelled by the airline and we were rescheduled for two days later, when we enquired at reception to extend our break they went above and beyond to help us, including allowing us to keep the same room - Thank you. All in all it was very good stay can not wait to return.Show More

This is our third trip to this area this year alone, but it’s the first time we’ve stayed in a hotel rather than a villa. Given that it was our special anniversary, we sent the hotel a short note prior to arrival just to make them aware. My wife is an ex-travel agent and my daughter is a current travel advisor, so as a family of very experienced travellers, good customer service is something we expect as standard. Instead, we felt the opposite. We had requested a room with a view of the fireworks/Disney Springs. However, on arrival we were allocated a 3rd-floor room overlooking the parking lot and directly next to the busy carriageway. Not exactly the start we had hoped for on a celebratory trip. The main reason for our average rating is what happened next. We asked about changing rooms and were immediately offered an “upgrade” for almost $1,500 extra. This left us feeling that the hotel was trying to profiteer from our request, especially since our 10-night stay for next year would cost only $47 more in total for the same upgraded level. The contrast was unbelievable. The second disappointment was that despite informing the hotel of our anniversary, it was never acknowledged in any way prior to us telling them, and then suddenly a bottle of wine was given to us ( but sadly we are not drinkers ) We get that the hotel was busy however overall, a very underwhelming start to what should have been a special stay, and certainly not the level of service we expected. From the second we walked through the door, it was like a magical experience. We are a family of 12, with 3 rooms, and Kayla and Braelynn checked us in. They were soooo sweet! It was like a treat getting to chat and interact with them. From there we went straight up to lightbites - WOW! Everything was truly delicious and well thought out. We were also so impressed on how clean it constantly stayed! Usually buffets have food thrown around everywhere - not here. Jonathon served us at the bar, and that speaks enough for himself. Kaylia was there too and she was super sweet! But Jonathon, What a great guy - and he remembered our names the next morning at breakfast! Over our 3 days, it constantly felt like meeting a new friend that became like family! In the evenings Suzanne kept coming to our tables asking if she could get us coffee, tea or clear our table! At a hotel free buffet dinner?! I mean, come on! On our last morning we met, I think her name was Grace? She was a Filipino woman manning the waffle station - and she was an immediate friend! Even gave me a hug at the end of it! The rooms were super clean, beautiful, and extremely comfortable and quiet! The pool and hot tub were great too! I mean truly - all 12 of us walked out of there feeling like we'd been transported to another planet for 3 days. It felt like a high class hotel and normal people prices. Really and truly.
