We were given room 104 for our 5 night stay. This is very close to the large echoing lobby and has the ‘rooftop’ bar outside the window. This is very close to the large echoing lobby and has the ‘rooftop’ bar outside the window. There was a huge amount of noise coming from the bar until it closed. And then we were woken by loud booming voices from the lobby at 5am. They continued until the normal noises of the early risers drowned them out. I asked to be moved to another room but was told we couldn’t do that because they were full. A report would be left for the people after the 3 pm shift change so we could move in the evening. I requested a room as high and as far from noise as possible. It was of no surprise that when we returned that evening, no one was aware of the request. I repeated that we wanted to move because of the noise. We were given room 405 and was assured it was far enough from the elevator. In room 405 you can clearly hear the elevators ping on arrival but that noise was much less than that from the all night operations at the huge COSCO located next door! Beep beep, honk honk all night long. We suffered the noise for the remaining 4 nights because the staff are either unaware of the hotels environment or don’t care. As for the ‘Rooftop’ bar. We ate out there the first evening despite it being quite cold outside. Why in chilly September is the restaurant closed and the only option outside? And it’s a bit of a joke calling it ‘Rooftop’ when it’s actually in the car park! The restaurant is in the basement so it’s on its roof (in the car park) We stayed in 7 different accommodations during our Canada holiday. Then they said they are a pet friendly hotel which I do not mind but if a pet is not behaving and barking all night it needs to be dealt with instead of being told sorry we are a pet friendly hotel. I am deserving of rest also we paid for them same as that guest with the pets. We stayed here for a hockey tournament and due to the noise my son was unable to rest and it affected his gameplay. Any sports teams coming into town for a tournamnent should be warned this hotel is not sleep friendly. I still am awaiting a reply from the manager as I was told they would contact me but never have yet In terms of getting a refund for my stay. Also view the pics for the cleanliness for what you are paying for, moldy showers and sinks, you can see that and who knows what else is hidden since this is in plain view.Show More

She was very helpful she defined our whole stay welcoming, warm and with a big smile. my SUV’s moonroof had a problem the first night it won’t close for the first time and Trinity even offered to help but I know it was overwhelming day for me and I’d rather fix it next day. She offered me bags tapes and scissors instead to temporarily cover the roof. all throughout the stay she is just amazing and helpful. the property itself everyone is very hospitable, as a filipino nurse myself i know you can never go wrong with hiring filipinos. their housekeeping were all smiles after cleaning our room and they cleaned it so well. location wise it is close to tourist spots while far enough to have peace and quiet. 30mins to butchart gardens, 15-20mins to beaches and 20mins to downtown/legislature area. i would stay here the next time i come back. price is not too bad and i had booked for four people. my mom, aunt and grandma. i had the best experience thank you!!!Show More
