You can walk everywhere! This was very important to us as we know there is very little parking in Victoria.
The property is well maintained with LOTS of parking. When we walked into the lobby, we quickly realized we entered a time capsule from the early 1990’s. It reminds me of my grandmas house. The front desk staff were very friendly.
The ceilings were extremely low and hallways were narrow. Our room was on the second floor. We opened the hotel door….another vivid flashback to the 1990’s. Carpet everywhere! Pink toilet and sink, heat lamp in the shower! Flashbacks! The room was very clean so we overlooked the decor.
The bed was comfortable, but pillows definitely needed replacing. Lamps were vintage and no plug ins. There was one plug in behind the dresser with an adapter to plug in multiple items. Living room/dining room were comfortable and a small kitchen, which was great!
It was warm during our trip and no air conditioning! 🥵 we opened the window, which helped a little. However, they removed the screens for cleaning, so that was no longer an option 😢. The walls and floors have very little soundproofing. We had kids jumping off the couch for several nights above us….annoying!
The have a surprisingly good cafe. Plenty of amenities (indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, gym and games room).
