We visited for GATech's homecoming weekend and even though the hotel is open for any guests, the vast majority were in attendance for the game or activities related to it. In the past, I have stayed ...We visited for GATech's homecoming weekend and even though the hotel is open for any guests, the vast majority were in attendance for the game or activities related to it. In the past, I have stayed with my preferred loyalty brands but I thought I'd give the independent GT Hotel a try this time. It was a wonderful stay - Jennifer (front desk) was extremely helpful pre-arrival and at arrival. I called her first thing the day of arrival from airport telling her I would arrive early and to see if I could have an early check-in and she put me in the queue. When I arrived, a room happened to be ready already (tip - if you hope to check in early, call ahead the day of to get on their queue) and I was able to get it before my business meetings started for the afternoon. The hotel has a 3 lane pool on the 3rd floor with the fitness center. Parking is in the adjacent large parking garage ($21 for unlimited in/out priv) and the hotel is located right at TechSq so easy access to campus if you are in meetings / events near or on GT campus. There is a restaurant in the ground floor for breakfast/lunch/dinner and the lobby area is large for people to congregate and meet.Show More
