If you get the easy directions from the vaporetto to the hotel (not the shortest way but the easiest way) it will be easier. While it is less than a 10 minute walk from the vaporetto stop San Zacarina...If you get the easy directions from the vaporetto to the hotel (not the shortest way but the easiest way) it will be easier. While it is less than a 10 minute walk from the vaporetto stop San Zacarina it is tricky. As you exit the vaporetto with the canal at your back walk almost directly ahead and slightly to the left towards the 2 buildings directly in from of you. Between the 2 building is a small laneway, no more than 5 feet wide. This is where you enter to begin your adventure. If you can I put it into your phone you should be fine. Otherwise get exact instructions from the hotel. Remember Venice is a labyrinth of streets and while of paper it looks easy it is not. That being said the hotel is excellent and exactly as the pictures show. The staff is friendly and very helpful and the breakfast and the room it is in is amazing. Everything was delicious with choices for everyone. Once you find the hotel you will enjoy its location to everything. If in doubt go to the vaporetto and start from there or take it to the next stop you want to explore. The price is excellent and it is good value for the room, the breakfast ( a real bonus) and the friendly, helpful staff. Enjoy your stay😊👍‼️Show More

We had a photograph. The room we were given at the nearby sister hotel was a very small room with crappy furniture. We checked booking.com website and saw the room we were allocated was clearly a cheaper “ Small double room”. We were tired and decided to sort it out in the morning. We immediately emailed our agent in Australia as with the time difference she would read it before we woke up. We went to reception in the morning and they agreed to move us as soon as current guests had checked out. We were moved to an available room at the main address. It was somewhat bigger and more comfortable however to access there was a steep flight of chairs. It still did not look like the “ Classic room double” as depicted in our documents or on the website. I am certain it was still a cheaper “ Small double room annex”. Most of the staff were helpful. Our agent had evidently argued with the manager. On the day we left we presume the older gentleman was the manager. He was not particularly friendly. There was non of the usual “ I hope you enjoyed your stay “ etc. He was very officious and just asked us to pay the tourist tax. We were offered no compensation for being put in a cheaper room than what we booked and paid for months in advance. We then left with our suitcases. He didn’t offer to open the door etc or get a porter to help us. We just went up the steps opened the door and struggled over the little bridge. We are in our mid 60s.Show More

Comfortable and spacious Classic Double room. Spotlessly clean with modern bathroom fittings, hairdryer, plenty of wardrobe space, complementary tea and coffee, free in room safe. Friendly and welcoming staff on reception and at breakfast. We stayed in room 601 in the ‘annexe’ building and it was fine. Nothing to worry about. It is just around the corner from the main hotel entrance and located in a quiet square. The building has its own breakfast area. See photos added for yourself. Breakfast was good too. Ignore the negative comments. Plenty on offer including hot and cold buffet options. Staff are attentive and top things up as needed. We were very happy with the hotel. It is well maintained, quiet yet close to St Marks Square. Lots of restaurants and shopping all within easy reach making it an excellent location and choice for a stay in Venice.Show More
