The staff at the reception Stephanie and the others (whose name I didn’t get) were very sweet and helpful. So were Robert and the other room boys. Breakfast was good, but could be varied every day …I loved the little garden with a dock for the boats and the canal in front! The room, though a bit small, had everything in it -a wardrobe, kettle with coffee & tea, a good queen bed with comfy pillows & most importantly, an A/C that works! And could be adjusted by us according to our preference! The bathroom was too small but the shower area was good with a rain shower. Very good toiletries .The location was great.. just 2 mts walk to St Mark's square & surrounded by shops and eateries.Show More

Our room, the Duchesse exclusive was absolutely beautiful, it’s huge, well furnished and has lovely views over the canal, would most definitely recommend. Breakfast is self service buffet with plenty to choose from . Gorgeous little outside terrace open from 4pm where we sat watching the gondolas go by with a glass of bubbly after a full days sight seeing, doesn’t get more perfect than that. All staff were very welcoming and friendly, thank you Dona Palace, we will be back.Show More

From the tile to the giant murano-glass chandelier, everything was exquisitely appointed (the shower & tub were wnderful). We had a lovely canal view, and the hotel is in an outstanding location, close to Piazza San Marco, but far enough away that you can dodge the crowds. Service was outstanding and friendly, breakfast was delicious, as were the drinks we had on the hotel's canalside terrace. Minor caveats: The Royal Suite is adjacent to the breakfast area, which was convenient, but a bit odd (soundproofing from that door was good though). There is noise from the canal, so light-sleepers should be aware of that. Overall, Highly recommended!Show More

The hotel arranged a transfer for us corn Fusina Port and while not eighty at the hotel, the Porter met us there to take our bags and show us the way. It was just a stones throw from St Marks Square and there were wonderful bars and restaurants close by. Rooms and bathrooms were beautifully appointed and comfortable and bed very comfortable. Gorgeous canalside terrace at ground level and bar. Breakfast was included and a generous buffet. Staff were friendly and helpful with transfers and assistance. Friendly porters.
