The staff were very friendly but we were disappointed we did not get the room we paid for. They said all the other junior suites on the front side of the hotel overlooking the Grand Canal were taken b...The staff were very friendly but we were disappointed we did not get the room we paid for. They said all the other junior suites on the front side of the hotel overlooking the Grand Canal were taken but reserved our room 6 months before our trip and specifically requested that view for our honeymoon. At breakfast, we were the only people there and we didn’t see anyone else in the hotel until the end of our stay. We feel that we were being deceived about those rooms being reserved. They sent us a bottle of campaign to try and make up for it but we don’t really drink. They basically said they prioritize repeat customers which I guess makes sense but a horrible business model of you want to keep first time visitors coming back. But like I said, very friendly staff and great location, we were just disappointed for the value of the room we got based on the price per night we paid.Show More

Palazzo Stern went above and beyond to provide us with an excellent stay. Before our trip began they corresponded with me via email and arranged for a limo service to pick us up at the cruise terminal...Palazzo Stern went above and beyond to provide us with an excellent stay. Before our trip began they corresponded with me via email and arranged for a limo service to pick us up at the cruise terminal and then arranged for their courtesy boat to meet us at their sister hotel Santa Chiara to take us on to Palazzo Stern. The staff at Santa Chiara brought us coffee and made us comfortable until the boat arrived. Then when we arrived at Palazzo Stern where they had upgraded our room. The lobby was beautiful and the terrace on the canal was a lovely place to enjoy breakfast or afternoon drinks. Our room and bathroom were lovely as well. The Ca Rezzonica vaporetta stop is right next door making getting around Venice a breeze. All in all I highly recommend Palazzo Stern as an ideal location to base your stay in Venice!Show More

I have been to Venice many times and have had the opportunity to stay at Venices most famous hotels . but this was the most memorable thus far .Our room was overlooking The Canal Grande and with its high ceilings and beautiful local Venetian Chandeliers , it was a peaceful place to spend off time hours . The hotel is in an old Palazzo , restored beautifully and with a dimension that makes you feel welcome and at home . The small staff is delightful . Breakfast , served in your room or on the terrace overlooking the canal is a perfect way to start your day . If you looking for a small , elegant ,welcoming hotel , The Hotel Palazzo Stern is a wonderful Venetian experience that fits the history of the old city . SusierShow More
