We wanted to be close to the parks, while being in a quieter, more adult-friendly hotel, and this was a perfect fit for that. From the moment you arrive at the entrance, it’s clear that this is a luxurious, splurge-worthy property.
Frankly, I was not impressed with the initial person who checked us in. She wasn’t very welcoming and didn’t go over any of the hotel amenities or what the resort fee included. Since it was too early to check in, we dropped off our luggage and went out.
Not long after we left, our room became available. When we returned, I approached a different associate instead, who completely turned things around. She was warm, attentive, and took the time to explain the hotel’s offerings. Throughout our stay, she greeted us each time we passed through the lobby, which really made us feel welcomed.
For those running a RunDisney event, note that this hotel does not provide shuttles to the races or to the expo since it’s not an official Disney hotel. It would’ve been nice if they offered at least one shuttle option, especially since we met several other runners waiting for rideshares on race morning. I also mentioned that we were staying for race weekend in a pre-arrival email and during mobile check-in, but there wasn’t any special acknowledgment of it. As a Platinum Elite member, I also didn’t receive a welcome note or upgrade, which was understandable since the hotel was fully booked, but I was hoping for at least a note about the race.
Overall, this is a beautiful and relaxing property with plenty of dining options, great Illy(though pricey) coffee in the lobby, and fun on-site activities. The hotel does offer shuttles to the Disney parks, but they have to be reserved in advance through their portal. As others have noted, the breakfast that’s included for Platinum Elite and higher is definitely worth the visit.
Despite a few minor misses, this was a luxurious and comfortable stay — and one I’d definitely return to in the future.Show More
