8.3(343)10/10 Wonderful New Year’s staycation
First time at this property and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is gorgeous and in pristine condition. We loved the lazy river and the slides. The food at Knife and spoon was very good as well. Get the Nachos 🤤. However, we were very disappointed with Citron and Primo. We had high expectations for both but felt the food was mediocre and highly overpriced. The hotel does offer shuttles to the parks that need to be pre poked but note that there are only a couple of times to choose from. An Uber will cost $25-30 each way. I would not stay here if the purpose of the trip was going to the parks. Also as other have noted, the resort fee is high. At $55 a day you better take advantage of all it has to offer. The hotel was the destination so we mostly just hang by the pool. The NYE fireworks were amazing!! Last but not least, I have to praise the staff who was phenomenal! Matt at the lobby bar is a true gem. The bartenders and wait staff by the pool also fabulous. We would definitely come back.

8/10 Good alternative to expensive Disney properties
We spent 5 nights at the JW in October. It is a good hotel and significantly better priced than Disney properties we have stayed in.
Check-in: We arrived later in the evening and go into our rooms quickly.
Staff: Most of the staff were pretty good. The pool service was definitely slow and not the best.
Rooms: The rooms are average but nice. We had 4 rooms and 1 of them did smell musty and stale, but they moved us right away to another one down the hall.
Location: It is 20 minutes or so from Magic Kingdom, Epcot, etc. but it is worth the drive given the money saved staying here.
Spa/Gym: They have both but we didn't visit either on our trip.
Food/Room Service: Breakfast in the room was tasty. We ate downstairs at Primo twice. It is Italian and was quite good. We didn't get to try any others in the hotel.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return.

4/10 Convention and family chaos
Very large convention hotel, which makes it unpleasant for non convention guests. Tried to enjoy a snack at the bar and were over run with convention guests literally leaning on our table when we were trying to eat. Then yelling in the hallways at night while we’re trying to sleep.
Then you have the families that get down by the pool and reserve their seats at the crack of dawn and don’t show up for HOURS later. My son had a seat by the pool and left it to go swimming and when he got back a family had moved his belongings and taken over his chair. It’s like the Wild West here!

8/10 Great hotel, but can we talk about the tiny showers?
All the reviews I read are spot on. It's a great hotel in general. I just came here to say the showers are oddly small. Maybe it was just the design of our one-room suite? But I've been on cruise ships that have bigger shower stalls than the one we had at the JW. And it's really odd because the bathroom is massive, with a separate tub. The entire stay, we just felt like the shower, with its odd diamond layout, was disappointing.

10/10 Great Stay During Conference
We stayed during a conference and will be back! The facilities are very well kept and rooms are spacious. Easy walking distance to the conference rooms as well as to the sister hotel, Ritz-Carlson. Enjoyed the pool area and walking paths. Service and seeing all the smiling faces made the stay perfect!
