Unfortunately after planning and looking forward for 2 years, I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. Firstly I had emailed and Facebook messaged them numerous times to request a low floor & we ...Unfortunately after planning and looking forward for 2 years, I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. Firstly I had emailed and Facebook messaged them numerous times to request a low floor & we had 2 big birthday’s while there so I wanted to see if I could pay for some Birthday bits to be at the room on arrival. (I had zero luck with this as nobody could be bothered to respond.) The hotel Itself from the outside looks lovely but after going in the lobby ready for check in, I could already see the hotel needed a massive refurb and smelled fousty. Anyways I didn’t say anything and checked in as normal. We were in block 5 on the 7th floor. We walked out of the lift on the 7th floor and was hit by the worst smell of mold and damp. I instantly knew I wasn’t staying on this floor, the room was disgusting, the fridge was leaking and my father was unable to go on the balcony as he was petrified of heights. (Hence I asked for the low floor). I went back down the reception and if I’m being honest they weren’t that bothered by the complaint and moved us down to floor 3 after the cleaners had been down to clean this room. There’s carpet all the way through which is disgusting, so take slippers if your staying in these rooms or your feet will be black. The second room on the 3rd floor was better than the first but still stank like damp. The beds all had dips in the middle so you roll to the middle of the bed, the furniture is all scratched to death and the aircon sounds like there’s a plane taking off in the living area. The pool area is ok but again the handle getting into the jacuzzi isn’t safe and the pool is freezing. The convenience store across the road isn’t the best and costs a fortune, the Irish pub was dirty and you stick to the floor. Overall i won’t be staying again unless it has a massive refurb. Location wise - it’s ok! Walkable the back way to millers and publix & Walmart. The outlets across the road were decent enough but not a lot of stores there. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures of the room, mainly as I didnt want to be in there.Show More

Excellent location Effective general manager when I met him by chance when checking out, having been told there was no manager on duty Unit was clean Negatives Rude and disinterested front desk staff Very ‘tired’ and dated units. First one we were allocated had holes in threadbare carpets Curtains that seemed to be from the 70’s Battered furniture Internet constantly dropping out, front desk response .. not interested Tv constantly dropping signal, reported at least 8 times, never resolved No luggage carts available and no assistance with luggage, had to book an uber to get from unit to reception to check out as we didn’t hire a car. Told by reception they could not help with luggage Struggling with our luggage when the general manager came upon us, had a full and frank discussion with him and he genuinely seemed appalled. I think I was considered a pain in the a*** but if they had dealt with issues in a timely fashion I wouldn’t have needed to make 10 calls about something that was never resoved. He made the entire process smooth and enjoyable, providing us with all the necessary information and patiently answering every question we had. I’ve met people with great customer service skills before, but never anyone who reached the level of genuine care, attention, and hospitality that Luis demonstrated throughout every interaction both with us and with his team. He truly sets the standard for what excellent service should be. Even my son (who only speaks French) got along wonderfully with him so much so that he added Luis’s name to his “pirate crew list” during the Haunting Pirates activity! That says a lot about the warm and friendly connection Luis creates with guests of all ages. We’re deeply grateful for the way we were treated and will definitely be coming back to stay at this hotel again. And when we do, we’ll be asking for Luis without hesitation.
