I would like to preface this comment saying that I have never left a negative review before but feel this is necessary in this instance. I am incredibly disappointed with my stay at Moxy Halifax. We...I would like to preface this comment saying that I have never left a negative review before but feel this is necessary in this instance. I am incredibly disappointed with my stay at Moxy Halifax. We booked a room for four adults so chose the option of the quadruple bunks. Check in was lovely with Jeffrey, very polite and friendly. We were charged $50 for one night of parking although the website clearly says $28. Our room was smaller than pictured but everything we needed was there, so no big deal. The AC was not working so we did call and someone came and repaired that (took about 15 minutes) and it did help. Our water in the bathroom sink had no cold water only scalding hot so any children could have easily burned themselves. I was in a top bunk and started to climb down and the railing broke, I fell backwards onto the floor hitting my head and wrist. It was late at night so I just layed down for the rest of the night. In the morning I advised staff of the fall and they said they would reverse the parking charge and have management call me the next day. After ten days I finally heard from management with an offer of $100 off our next meal at the restaurant. The lack of concern or empathy from management is disturbing. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. I would absolutely expect a better experience for $496Show More

We stayed for three nights and used the car parking as well, I'm quite happy not to have clean linen or towels for a short stay, however it would have been nice to have had the bed made, like the room we had a double enough space to put our suitcases on the floor (we were on a 23 night trip) hooks to hang stuff up and a safe in the drawer under them bed. When checking in it was mentioned that we might have an issue going in and out of the garage, we had none seemed to work fine. While you can bring food to your room, you can't in the public areas, got told off for misbehaving. While the reduction in room servicing is done to be more environmentally friendly (which I'm all for) they do have propane fire pits and heathers on the outside terrace which negates their environmental statement, infrared would be so much better.
