In fact , I’ve had better cleaning during COVID when housekeeping staff wasn’t allowed to clean and only emptied trash cans… When you walk into your room and you cannot tell if it’s been cleaned, you know there’s a problem. After returning from lunch to our suite, I nearly noticed that all of the food boxes from breakfast have been left in place. That in itself is not a huge problem because I’ve seen in other instances where staff is unsure if you are still eating the items. So if that was the only issue I would not have thought much of it. But in addition to all the half eaten boxes being left in place: -none of the suite had been vacuumed and there was food and trash left everywhere with ZERO EFFORT made to sweep or vacuum -dirty sheets from the beds that had been thrown on the floor to alert the staff to replace had simply been thrown back hastily on the bed in a half made manner -the bathroom looked exactly the same as when we left with wrappers and little pieces of trash still strewn all over the counter Again, I understand, not throwing out food if you’re unsure if the customer will still eat it, but the lack of vacuuming, the lack of replacing dirty sheets and zero effort made to vacuum a suite is just mind-boggling to me. The staff member responsible for “cleaning” our suite was actually in the process of leaving just as we arrived, and I had to ask her to come back several times as I discovered additional messes left behind and she definitely seemed annoyed. Maybe I’m weird or my expectations are unreasonable, but I expect to come back to a clean suite, especially if housekeeping services are being offered on a regular basis. And if something is overlooked that can happen but giving the guest attitude and excuses for not cleaning whatsoever is something that I think cannot be overlooked. Just based on this issue I would likely never stay here on the future.Show More

I had the pleasure of visiting from Victoria, Texas. I had the delight of staying from September 5 to 7, 2025, and I would like to express my gratitude for being greeted by such a beautiful soul at the front desk, Kaitlan (I hope I spelled her name correctly). She was so delightful and cheerful. She went out of her way to check on upgrades, and we were actually upgraded to a fantastic Jr. Suite that had an amazing view of the city. The upgrade had several perks, and we enjoyed them. Well, I wish we had more Kaitlans in customer service and in general. She made our stay a fabulous experience, and I would not hesitate to visit again very soon. I want to add, she's a keeper and certainly seems like supervisor material. Continue to enjoy what you do, Kaitlan, as your warmth and friendliness spill over to your guests. That will definitely keep them coming back. Hope to be back to see you soon!Show More

The positives of the hotel include the very comfortable beds and pillows, the good quality of the food at dinner in the restaurant, and the location (although other hotels on the River Walk have more nature-this hotel is more on the commercial side of the River Walk). Negatives include the dull design of the lobby and hotel interiors, very small guest rooms (especially the bathroom and sink were very narrow-it is not comfortable for 2 people, including the fact that there is only one lounge chair to sit on) and narrow entrance of the hotel room, very limited options in the M lounge at breakfast and low-quality food. Hors d’oeuvres in the evening in general were much better, although there were rarely any greens offered. It was also surprising that there was not a better selection of beverages in the M lounge refrigerator, and they only had purified water as opposed to spring water. Lastly, the smell of the shower gel was not pleasant.Show More

Wifi costs $14.95 a day. There is NO free coffee anywhere in the hotel - not in the room, not in the lobby - there's a shop in the lobby where a cup costs a minimum of $6. Parking a car - not valet - costs $47 a day. The location on the Riverwalk is lovely and convenient, and the room was nice with a comfy bed, but I am not used to being charged extra for everything like this. For that reason alone, when I return to San Antonio, I'll look for a different hotel in the same area.Show More
