It's a very nice hotel. The music is played a bit loud in the area of the elevators, but you don't hear it in the hallways and it shuts down at 11pm. We stayed on the Rock Royalty floor (Club Level). The food offered was good, nothing to get excited about, but there was always plenty. The only issue I had was most club levels have a refrigerator out with sodas/water/juices at all hours of the day. When this level shut down at night, they closed the doors and you couldn't get anything to drink. The rooms were nice and we never heard our neighbors. The only problem I had with our room was the bathroom. The have a small area with a nice vanity sink. Then the bathroom/shower is in a separate room. It has a toilet, sink, shower. The sink doesn't need to be in there. It's difficult to shut the door when you walk in and open the door when you want to leave. If the sink wasn't there, it would be fine.
When you get off the elevator to your room you walk onto the floor and it's a circle with hallways coming off it. I would always look for the Frank Sinatra picture when I was going back to my room from getting ice, so I went down the correct hall to my room (kind of funny).
If you like to go to bed early, ask for a room NOT facing the pool. Although it's not really loud, it starts playing around 9am and doesn't get shut off until close to 11pm. Also, they leave all the lights on around the pool. We couldn't get our curtains to close all the way, so we had that light shining into the room.
All of the workers are super friendly and will go out of their way to help you. There were more times I walked into the store or the market, and there was someone right there asking if I needed help.
The Kitchen Restaurant, the food is excellent and the waiters are wonderful.
It's about a 5-8 minute walk to City Walk and the entrance to Universal Studios, and about a 10-12 minute walk to Islands of Adventure. They also have the water taxi, but that seemed to take forever to come.
The do need more people for check in. We stood there for almost 30 minutes waiting to check in. We arrived early (9:30am) and our room wasn't ready until close to 4pm, but they held out bags as we headed off for the park. They did text us when our room was ready.
I'd give this hotel a stay if you want to be close to City Walk and the parks. You still need to take a bus to EPIC (about 15 minute ride), but it's a nice hotel.Show More
