We booked a king and received 2 queens, which was not a problem but a sign of things to come. As soon as we exited the elevator on the 12th floor, we were hit with the unmistakable smell of mildew. Initially, I thought the floors had been mopped with mildewy water, but I now believe it may be due to damp carpet. Upon entering our room we realized it was missing a table/desk. There are multiple chairs pushed up against the wall. Since we were here for a conference it made work difficult. Several large meetings were occurring at the same time on the property so finding a place to work was difficult. I went to the front desk shortly after checking in to inquire about the missing furniture after confirming on the WA website room details that there should be a table or desk in the room. The attendant left a message for housekeeping and stated it would be addressed shortly. There was no response so I inquired again on the morning of day 2 and was told housekeeping would be in touch. I received a call a few hours later and was informed the previous guest had broken the furniture and it was on order but they would move items from another room. That was done on the afternoon of day 2. On our first night, we received turn-down service, which consisted of slippers next to the bed, 2 bottles of water, glasses being moved to the nightstand, and the TV being on calm music. Night 2 not only did they not complete turn down but they entered the room and removed the unopened water we kept from night 1 turn down and removed all the glasses from our room and did not replace towels. They were there after the room was cleaned but missing when we returned from dinner. Housekeeping was not the best either. I dropped an earring and found a pair of slippers and a dirty towel under the nightstand. There was also a sticky spot on the carpet that would cause our shoes and feet to be sticky. We have never used hotel slippers but they were appreciated as a result of the condition of the carpet. On our last morning, I attempted to use a cup I got from the pool the day before to get some ice and use tap water to take medication. At that time I found the ice maker on our floor was now out of service. A maintenance worker saw me in the hall and was kind enough to find me a bottle of water. Due to the conference, we were granted a late checkout. Despite the late check-out and activating “privacy please” notification on the door the maid service entered the room without knocking multiple times. The grounds were clean during the day but lacked attention in the evenings. It was difficult to find a place that was not covered in empty glasses, dishes, and trash. The pool service was attentive if you were ordering alcohol. Otherwise, you would have to catch one. They did bring around frozen fruit and offered it to those with alcohol. The towel attendant was pleasant and helpful upon arrival. Food service at the poolside restaurant was slow. The maintenance worker I encountered in the hall was the kindest most attentive employee we encountered. I expect more from a Waldorf Astoria based upon their reputation and the prices they charge. The upper floors do have higher rates and include nightly turn-down service. They also claim that you can see the Disney fireworks. That is true but they are visible from most places on the property and the view the majority of the day is a parking deck or straight into other guest rooms. Windows are not tinted and you can see straight in from any place on the property- pool, restaurant, other rooms. We had much better accommodations at Disney properties.Show More

Amazing front desk staff from check in to check out. Very relatable to their clients, always smiling and helpful! Do you pay more at this hotel of course, however being AMEX FHR def helps. Went to Oscar’s for breakfast everyday and had the nicest server wanted him the second day but got sat in a different section. Not sure his name maybe it was Pierre/Felix (not trying to be rude but want him recognized for his amazing service he was a Haitian speaking male and was absolutely the best server we have ever had anywhere!) Went to aquamarine for some snacks and drinks amazing as well. The room: we booked a King Balcony Suite and not enough good words to stay. My husband is a business owner in the pest control area and we always take a UV light to test how well they clean the room before/during and before we leave. SPOTLESS!!! Very quiet, peaceful, and the tub/shower combo is amazing! Large balcony and seating for a cocktail/evening sunset view. Get the golf course view and you won’t be disappointed! Now the only negative, we did valet as honestly the price difference isn’t much between that and self. We were NOT HAPPY they moved the seat, turned off our screens/AC and messed with our electronics. In my opinion you should not be touching my electronics/screens/AC. I understand the seat to a certain extent but still something to work on. It also took forever to get our vehicle, even after waiting in our room for the allotted time after called down for our truck is still took another 15/20 min. Unfortunately this lead the 4 star instead of the 5. Still an incredible stay and it is 100 percent worth the money if you do stay! We will be staying here more and it will still be our go to hotel! We enjoyed your delicious room service daily served by polite staff members, we had a blast utilizing your beautiful pool cabanas with extraordinary service, and we spent our Thanksgiving dinner at the Bull & Bear restaurant that provided us with an extraordinary dining experience. Please keep up the excellent work! We will be back because your customer service is the best by far. Last but not least, I have to mention the incredible concierge team at your hotel. They texted me daily to answer any questions I may have, and made sure to offer their services until we departed. I left your hotel feeling well taken care of because of these remarkable individuals. They messed up on our booking. This property is a luxury property, and the service is out of this world. The moment you arrive you are greeted at the front doors. Every employee is very polite and helpful. The grounds are immaculate!! Our room was very large and clean. 1 complaint about the room is there's no microwave. They have a huge counter and room for one. Many people have kids and would need/use a microwave. Found out later they wanted $25 for a microwave. They do housekeeping daily and they also do turn down service as well. Never had this before lol. They have limited dining options open throughout the day. I found this to be odd on a property this large. The food and drink prices were crazy high. I ordered a Manhattan with buffalo trace, and it was $25!!!!! The average entree' for 1 person was $30 minimum. What the weirdest part of this property was ZERO Disney anything. For being a Disney Park, there's nothing and I mean nothing related to the Disney franchise on property. I know in Anaheim; CA all hotels have some sort of Disney theming. The hotel is a valet only $57 to valet. If you want to self-park you have to park down the hill at the neighboring Signia hotel, and that was $40 a night. They have 2 pools and 1 small hot tub. The pool is heated and that felt good. No waterslides or anything for kids to do other than swim. What is nice is you have access to Signia's pool next door. They have a lazy river and waterslide. I rated this 3 out of 5 as it wasn't perfect in my eyes for the money they charge. If you're looking for elegance and top-notch service, then this is the place. If you're on a budget and want a more kid friendly hotel, then I wouldn't stay here, but rather stay next door at the Signia. They're sister properties.Show More
