Surly check-in receptionist, felt as if we were an inconvenience to him. We nearly didn’t check in and wished we hadn’t when we saw the room - needs a complete overhaul, the bathroom was particularly disgusting and falling to pieces. We really felt like we needed another wash after using the bath/shower - yuk! Extremely old and unmaintained along with grimy carpets too - the room photos are extremely flattering and deceiving unless we were given a particularly grufty room, although our friends room was just as bad and the corridors and general spaces are very grim also. The only saving grace was that the bedding and towels appeared to be clean and we found the bed comfy, and the lady receptionist was friendly at checkout. As others have said the car park is rammed, you have to pay but will be lucky to find a space. Thankfully we didn’t spend anytime in the room as we were out and about for 2 days but couldn’t wait to leave. Others have mentioned a discount for the Italian Restaurant next door - no-one offered this to us although we did eat there and had excellent pizzas. But as for the hotel - avoid avoid avoid!show more

The location was gorgeous, with charming little restaurants/coffee shops/bakeries nearby - choices! the entryway and lack of signage out front were the worst parts of the stay - yes the address is large, but some of us taking Uber expect to see the Days Inn sign as well. Even our driver was surprised there was no sign out front. Why? the entryway is grundy and makes y ou hope you're at the right address - looks more like a tenement. I was going to have a friend meet me there, then walk with me to dinner, but I was embarrassed by the entryway and front hall, so met at the restaurant. Just a thought for you fellows re what to fix next. Thanks for a great stay though, Elsashow more
