We stayed 4 nights all-inclusive. We were upgraded to the premium which was the drinks fast-pass for free by the hotel. Not too sure why but for transparency. We had an 11 year old with us and wouldn’t say it was a family friendly hotel at all.
Food: There are two restaurants. The one on the lowest floor was aimed at english guests and a sign even said something along the lines of “english guests should eat at the Granada restaurant”. The floor above is the main restaurant, it gets busy and has the most food. The food does NOT cater for everyone. Probably the worst all-inclusive food I have personally experienced. Very mediterranean food, which again isn’t a problem if you like that, just bear in mind if you are a picky eater or don’t like Spanish food, there will not be much food for you. I am autistic and ate chips and plain pasta most of the time. The Spanish guests however all seemed to love the food so I think otherwise the food is good. However, I WOULD NOT!! recommend eating the sausages. They were always cold and very pink on the inside. I tried to bring this up with multiple staff but they didn’t understand what was wrong. And I also saw multiple cockroaches in the restaurants which was definitely off-putting.
Location: Amazing location, a 5 minute walk to the beach and old town or 10 minutes leisurely walk. Only downside is opposite the front of the hotel is a school that plays music through a loud speaker every morning at 9am and obviously children screaming. Not necessarily a problem but might be for some
people.
Atmosphere: It was a very busy hotel, but not overwhelming. What they say about the lifts is true, if your room is above level 2 you will have a hard time getting there in a lift. longest wait i had was 10 minutes to get to level 7 (where the pool is). I am not sure if it is because we went in November, but the majority of the guests were Spanish. This is not a problem in itself at all- only issue is that many of them aren’t too keen on English folk and that can leave some awkward situations and does make you feel uncomfortable but this is not a testament to the hotel, more the guests.
Bar: The bars were always pretty busy, we had the fast-pass so it wasn't as bad (still a wait) but the other queue was much bigger. The magic cafe bar was great. Lots of english guests there and actually decent entertainment.
Room: The room was lovely and clean, SLIGHTLY dated but for the price was really great. The aircon was BRILLIANT. Had to even turn it off sometimes because it got too cold. Housekeeping always kept the beds clean and tidy. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. Think firm memory foam. Pull out bed was ok. very thin flat mattress and no bottom sheet left in the room until day 2. The bathroom came with only 2 towels (we were a room of 3) but we had 3 on the last day only. We didn't raise this with the hotel, but i'm sure if we did it would’ve been sorted sooner.
Cleanliness: Apart from the cockroaches in the restaurants, the hotel was clean. Housekeeping did a good job keeping rooms
clean and it always smelled lovely of cleaning products. The communal areas, bars and entertainment lounge was relatively clean.
Pool: The pool was okay, average square pool. clean and clear. !!NOT HEATED AS OF 19TH NOVEMBER!! jacuzzi was small and warm but often full. The ladder to get in and out of the pool was terrible. Very thin steps, you had to go on your tip toes to climb them. Not good for limited mobility at all. THERES NO LIFEGUARDS!!!! The childrens waterslide pool was shut, but I assume this is because it is out of season but this was not said anywhere we could find.
sunbathing: there are sun loungers on the top floor which is LOVELY, very much a suntrap. very relaxing and lots of options.
Hairdryer: there is no hairdryer in the rooms, a 20€ deposit is needed and you get the hairdryer for 2 hours from reception.
staff: the staff were lovely, no issues there.
Overall our experience wasn't the best, even for a budget holiday it was quite unsatisfactory unfortunately. Enjoyed our stay in benidorm but unfortunately the hotel was not for us and we wouldn’t stay again. If you have this hotel booked, don’t let it ruin your whole holiday because like I said, the location is amazing. So be prepared to eat out and spend time exploring instead.Show More
