My wife and I ended our 5-week and 8-cities / states American tour, but only stayed at this hotel for one full day / 2 nights. Therefore , this review needs to be understood within that timeframe. Overall, we found this to be a lovely hotel, with undoubtedly the best reception staff we encountered on our trip🤗🤗They were SO welcoming, engaging and keen to help: a real credit to and for the hotel🤗 The large room we'd booked was just that: spacious; good storage; long seating area; and tasteful decor. We appreciated the 'complimentary' water (in room and refills at reception); and there was the usual coffee (no breakfast tea, or kettle!) and showering toiletries: and lovely, quality ones used. We didn't try the restaurant, as it seemed a bit limited in terms of breakfast menu, etc. With regards to location, it is good for a range of restaurants and cafes, etc; but it is nowhere near the usual shopping options (food, clothing, etc). Some critical observations for consideration: 1. It is a bit disconcerting to arrive and find no-one at the ground floor reception! This, we learned, was only the valat station and reception was another floor up. So my suggestion is the hotel place a large sign informing arriving guests, rather than them having to go find people to ask, etc! 2. The lighting in the bedroom, while plentiful, is rather dull overall! 3. The lovely bathroom needs some hooks to hang towels close to the shower. 4. Housekeeping did not do the room until the afternoon. For people only staying at the hotel for 2 nights, this should be done earlier; 5. Reception should know where the Tourist Information centre is; and recommended it accordingly!Show More

Upon our arrival to our room, we were treated to a very generous and thoughtful amenity package. Someone in the Club Lounge must've remembered our previous visit to the hotel my schizophrenic and intellectually disabled son wasn't very happy with the breakfast offerings in the Club 14 Lounge. Like many autistic people, he has very finicky tastes. So the day before we travelled, Isabella texted me out of the blue asking what kinds of breakfasts he would enjoy. When we had breakfast in the Club lounge during our stay, Gabby, the woman preparing and serving breakfast, greeted us by name and was extremely attentive to my son. Service touches like these are awesome! They really made us feel welcomed, even with my son's, um, somewhat erratic nature. Other hotel chains claim to offer "Loyalty Ambassador" type service, but few really make the effort to individualize their service and go out of their way to think of how they can may our stay more pleasant. The double room was especially spacious which is great when there are multiple guests in a room and the rooms have a pretty city view. We enjoyed being able to walk to all of the different restaurants nearby or just go downstairs to the shops and restaurants directly below the hotel. We ate in the hotel restaurant and food and service were both amazing.Show More

However, we were quickly accommodated, and went straight to a beautiful and comfortable room to rest in after our travels.
