I stayed at The Oriental Jade Hotel twice during my trip to Hanoi, and both visits were outstanding. The reception staff, waiting staff, cleaners, and porters were all incredibly attentive, kind, and ...I stayed at The Oriental Jade Hotel twice during my trip to Hanoi, and both visits were outstanding. The reception staff, waiting staff, cleaners, and porters were all incredibly attentive, kind, and genuine. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and very well looked after. The team gave me great recommendations on where to eat and what to see in the city, arranged multiple taxis for me throughout my stay, and even escorted me door-to-door to my night train—walking me all the way onto the platform and waving me off. It was such a thoughtful gesture and far beyond what I expected from any hotel service. When I returned for my second stay, I had unfortunately lost a bag at the train station. The staff immediately stepped in to help, calling around and checking with contacts until the bag was eventually found. Their help made a stressful situation so much easier. On the day I left Hanoi, they organised my airport transfer, saw me off at the door, and surprised me with an incredibly thoughtful parting gift: a Vietnamese coffee maker and local coffee. It was the perfect finale to an already memorable experience. I cannot recommend The Oriental Jade highly enough. The warmth and care shown by every member of the team made my time in Hanoi feel special.Show More

The staff provided all the information we needed to get settled and take advantage of the local neighborhood as it was a weekend night and so much to do nearby. The rooms were well equipped and clean with complimentary water and snacks, comfortable bed and pillows, and quality toiletries. The hotel is located in the Old Quarter area and is in the center of so much liveliness and beauty. It features stunning rooftop bar, restaurant and pool area and the breakfast restaurant is located in the lower level and has a delicious selection of food, egg station, fresh fruit as well as great tea and custom coffee options. Furthermore, the staff are very attentive and are always happy to answer questions about local cultural experiences, points of interest, restaurants and other activities in other parts of Vietnam. Staying here was the best decision and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting here.Show More

Rest assured, The Oriental Jade deserves every credit and every positive review because it honestly was a superb experience for us. We booked a huge suite on level 8 and we couldn’t have been happier. The service from every single staff member we encountered was exceptional. The massage in the spa was professional and great value. The gym facilities were great for a small hotel and the breakfast buffet and offerings were outstanding. The hotel is right in the heart of the Old Quarter and our suite overlooked the lake from our terrace balcony. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends traveling to Hanoi. They were always quick to assist with bags and even helped us translate and communicate in Vietnamese when needed. Great location as well, just a quick walk away from the beautiful lake and the night market. Lots of great restaurants and cafes around.
